Soliloquy 07-29-2007 04:51 AM

I've been running this successfully for several months now, and one of the awards I give out is a Link Award for members who have linked to the forum from their homepage. I've also set up a page full of banners and graphics for them to use, and tried linking to it from the award description. The link works, but it broke the display of the small version of the awards in the profile and the memberlist. (I'm guessing the script uses the award description as the alt tag or something.) Anyone know how to fix the broken areas so I can have the link?

amcd 08-04-2007 09:37 AM

in the showthread_query hook, we have
Code:

$alluserawards $db->query_read("
            SELECT a.*, au.*, post.userid, post.postid
            FROM "
. TABLE_PREFIX . "post AS post
            INNER JOIN "
. TABLE_PREFIX . "award_user AS au ON (au.userid=post.userid)
            INNER JOIN "
. TABLE_PREFIX . "award AS a ON (a.award_id=au.award_id)
            WHERE $postids
"
. iif((!empty($cache_postids)), "post.postid IN (" . $cache_postids . ")") ."
            GROUP BY au.issue_id
            $awardsdisplayorder
        "
);

what is the purpose of that 'group by'?

I have a question.. I installed this a while ago, and all was working fine, until now.. Some of our members have changed their usernames, and now they can't request an award... when you click on submit, it says that their Old username is not found.. even though they're submitting for someone else, and their username is inputted correctly...

is this a glitch? has anyone else had this problem? Anyone know how to fix it? Thanks in advance

ryancooper 02-06-2008 03:20 PM

Is there a way to add a custom link URL to each award?

Hoffi 02-07-2008 12:57 PM

Did someone installed this on 3.7 and created a tab for the Awards?

Biker_GA 02-09-2008 04:20 PM

I'd love to see this ported to 3.7. We used this often on our board before upgrading. Unfortunately, the author seems to be MIA. :(

hrk 02-14-2008 08:35 AM

YES, Please mod for 3.7 BETA 4 please...:)

wiredinoc 02-27-2008 06:08 AM

second that!!! Awards system heavily used. Must have a 37 install.

yotsume 03-02-2008 04:16 AM

awards.php is outside of permission system?

I just was made aware that the awards.php can be directly linked to and will show some private forum information for members only forums. How can the awards.php file be made so that if unregistered users try to access the awards.php they are given a "don't have permission to view" message instead?

I run a secure forum and having usernames show on any page for unregistered users is a big breach for me in security. Can you please make the awards.php not viewable to unregistered visitors please. This needs to be added to the permission settings ASAP!

timguis 03-13-2008 07:04 PM

Howd i get to the add/edit award section.

rescently installed.. thanks

bayareamommas 03-31-2008 11:22 PM

i got it loaded but where is it located on the website?

optrex 04-24-2008 09:39 AM

We could really do with this being ported to 3.7 please

ralle89 04-24-2008 10:05 AM

Well. 3.7.0 is not out yet. But I don't see any reasons why it shouldn't work.

optrex 04-24-2008 11:24 AM

it works ralle, but as someone mentioned, it woudl be nice to have and "awards tab" in the profile.

ti07shadow 04-30-2008 08:40 PM

1. in your admincp you will have an award section on the left from there you'll have manage award there you can input username or id with comment to give it to users.

2. That i don't know perhaps template edit?

3. You have to make sure to set an e-mail when people request from going to awards.php you will receive an e-mail submission

lloydy 05-03-2008 07:50 AM

just installed it, thanks for your work. How to i edit the medal pictures tho and replace with my own cups etc?

badheeu 05-03-2008 09:22 AM

Need this one for 3.7.0
Im ready to donate.

dknelson 05-18-2008 06:17 PM

I've had this working on 3.6 and the awards are still showing up in 3.7. If you click on the Awards Showcase or the posters award medal in a postbit though, it just takes you to the members profile. Anybody have a workaround for that?

richards112 05-27-2008 01:12 AM

Code:

'
You forgot to secure the string for mysql. Bad boy! :D

Code:

Invalid SQL:

            SELECT userid, username
            FROM user
            WHERE username = 'camel'zz';

wwolf27 08-02-2008 09:41 AM

I was wondering if someone could help me figure out why I have no "request award" or no "awards list" we have created our own awards with this system but not having those 2 items are really hurting us...THANKS IN ADVANCE TO ANY HELP!!!!

Xanlamin 08-03-2008 07:01 AM

for those wanting this for 3.7 you can check this thread that contains the fixes and very soon a fresh release that will include the awards in a tab in the users profile.

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...142487&page=41

Xanlamin 08-09-2008 01:17 AM

Ok peeps, this is 100% for 3.7 now, you can find the all new MOD here: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=187600

mholtum 08-17-2008 09:07 AM

I have been using this for quite some time now and have loved it.

However upon upgrading to 3.7.x in the admincp there is a weird thing

*[give_user_award]* and a [] where it should be Award Member.

any ideas?

Also how do I remove a rewarded award from a member?

Craig91 02-22-2009 11:54 AM

I know this might sound stupid but where do I edit these templates? Where can I find the MEMBERS INFO template?

trinity9 07-27-2009 06:49 AM

Those of you getting the "Permission error" when you request an Award, edit one of your Usergroups in your Usergroup Manager and let the bitfield rebuild. Verify that each usergroup has permission to request awards, then try it again.

Cadellin 08-09-2009 10:03 PM

Thank you for a great mod :)

I wonder though how can I put a CSS ID onto the div which the awards display in on the post view? I've tried looking in the templates but couldn't spot it.
