Hi support,
I have a problem ... One of my user has registered this nickname: @lex when you click on his nickname to enter the profile, I get an error because SEO automatically removes the "@" in ALL link, ... and only "lex" for example: http://www.xxxxxx.com/members/lex.html or http://www.xxxxx.com/area-privata-fv...-progetti-con-lex/ How can I fix this? thanks |
i am currently using pro v1.1.5 how do i upgrade?
|
Arrowchat or Cometchat Plugin do not work with dbseo.
The chat is not invoked Is there a solution? |
I'm not sure if this is the right place, but I'm absolutely THRILLED with dbseo! I thought I was going to be in some trouble when vbseo went downhill, but dbseo came in and saved the day. I put 'em through a bit too much support hassle and they took it like champs. Excellent product! I sprung for the paid version because I needed custom URLs for just about everthing.

The solution to my problem, maybe some help. Code:
That means that you haven't added .htaccess rewrites for the old vB4 mod_rewrite friendly URLs, and DBSEO is trying to resolve this as a user account. Code:
RewriteRule ^threads/.* showthread.php [QSA] |

After upgrade to v1.3.2 from dbtech site, I get an error on posting new thread:
Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required '/home/........../html/forum/dbtech/dbseo_pro/hooks/forumdata_start.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/php5_4/lib/php') in /home........./html/forum/includes/class_dm_forum.php(123) : eval()'d code on line 7 The error appears also on thread or post edit saving, even in ACP thread/post approval window! P.S. I use the lite version. |
Me too :(

I just installed the product yesterday.

Thanks!
I will try it. D. |
So I have had this installed for awhile, but there are now so many different options.
Is there a recommended way to have all the options set up in regards to SEO? |

The issue is that (in my opinion) the lite version that was made available has the code for the pro version. There is no "dbseo_pro" directory in the lite version.... forumdata_start does not exist in the lite version. Hopefully they will re-upload the proper lite version to get this working again. D. |
If it helps anyone,
I took the XML file with the 1.3.2 version and stripped out the lines that refer to dbseo_pro functions and re-uploaded to my site. Seems to have got things working for the time being. (I hope) D. |
DragonByte SEO v1.3.2
New Features: SiteLinks
Bug Fixes:
Fillip |
Thanks Fillip (: I am not sure how we can use this feature ? From my understanding a custom Google search is simply a generated code you generate from google webmaster. Right ?
What do we need to do to try this feature ? Custom SiteLinks URL If you are using a custom URL for your search engine (such as Google Custom Search), you can alter this variable to match your search form. Available replacement variables: {bburl} (your forum URL) {homeurl} (your home page URL) {search_term_string} (Required). |
|
Since installing this mod... links to my "home" which are linked like this:
https://www.mysite.com/forums Go to: https://www.mysite.com/forums/blogs/all/ What do I have to correct to make it go to /forms and not the blogs? This is what my .htaccess file looks like: Quote:

Or was this directed at the developer to help correct this in their code? D. |
I linked you that to tell you to remove the special characters from members usernames and it will fix the problem and in admincp/settings/options/User Registration Options/Username Regular Expression put ^[a-zA-Z0-9\s.\-_']+$
Or something like this to stop members registering with things like this if you already have this filled, maybe what you have in there is wrong On another note, maybe the dev has a way around to allow them if it has anything to do with this mod, but I think it is more mysql does not allow them regexp is short for Regular expression |
How can I do a search / replace of existing usernames that have special characters in them now?
D. |
Whoops... my apologies....
I see now that the person posted that they were getting an error with usernames. The errors I am seeing are in thread names. I think it was from when I switched from VB friendly names or something like that... not too sure. these errors receive them "random" about 1 or 2 per day always related to members
no other database error on the site possible ? |
Well if it random, then I guess you would have to wait till the developer answers.
But to be honest, it would be better off for you to ask on their site, since you seem to have many issues, http://www.dragonbyte-tech.com/f241/ You should get much better response time there. |

With all the respect in the world, are doing a great job of code but you stay short in explanation of that is everything and as used, for example the issue of keywords, is quite puzzling.
