I've been using this for a long time without problems, thank you for your work on it.
We just moved our installation to a new server and I am facing a problem now however: I can access and download the files normally, but if I try to edit an entry (even if I make no changes) and save it again, I get a 403 page (Forbidden) mentioning this URI: /vbdownloads.php?do=download&action=update I've checked the permissions on the vbdownloads.php file and they're set as 644 as normal. I guess it's trying to access something else and it fails? Any ideas on what to look for? |

I've checked the Error Logs, unfortunately there's no entry when this occurs at all. I've also double-checked the permissions of all the relevant files, they seem to be correct. The path to the downloads folder also is correct, as I am allowed to download files from there normally.
This only occurs when editing an existing entry or trying to add a new one, during the Save stage. Any further ideas? |
Anything at all I could do to fix this? Even re-installing the XML after re-uploading all the files doesn't seem to fix it. The settings in AdminCP seem to be correct (regarding paths), the permissions on the files and folders are correct from what I can see, there are no errors reported in the Error log of the server or VB itself...
I have no clue on what to look for... :-( Please help? |

hi, how changed this colour background? thx
|
Unfortunately as this is a server issue I can't really assist further, your host will be able to tell you where the web server's error log file for these issues is located.

None of my screenshots or thumbnails are showing instead I get the noimage.png. In the directory where the files are kept the images and thumbs are there.
|
Are the images and thumbs correct in that directory? Have you opened them to check?
Fillip |
Yes and it does not look like the thumb was created however there are thumbnails there from other uploads but they don't show either. If I click the noimage.png screenshot it does link to the correct image.

Hello. I noticed the vBDownloads v2.4.4-p1 for my vB 4.2.2 gives me a weird appearance like the sidebar is shown in the vB Default Theme but supposed to be at OrangeVille (Provided by vBStyles).
I don't know why I am getting this Default Style for the vBDownloads Sidebar, and I tried to update or maybe fix the template manually. Could this be a bug? As this theme style supposed to match up with my current custom theme style. |

Thanks, do you have a demo of this feature?

hello
Ships to vbulletin 5? Thank You! |
Pardon the dumb question, but where do I moderate uploaded files? I am drawing an absolute blank on that. Otherwise everything is working fine. Each category is set up to be moderated, I can see the uploaded file in the files directory, but can't see any way to approve it.
I'm sure it's me being a dummy, but can someone please take my hand and guide me? :D Thanks! Scott |

Installed but I don't have any way to upload files.
Set all admin usergroup permissions to yes but the "Manage Categories" and "Import Files" links don't show on the downloads page. What have I done wrong? Added myself to the SA group and now I can create categories from the adminCP but I get an "A required field called extensiongroups is missing or has an invalid value." error when I try and create a new category. |

I'm not sure why but when I upload a file the file just doesn't display. It simply stopped working.
Also, older files have disappeared. Just vanished. I don't know why. I updated to the newest version and still can't upload anything. The upload process goes through but the file just doesn't show up. |
Please check your server logs for any error messages.
