Any ideas on where I should go to fix this?

All help is appreciated.

In the blog area, just about everything is white. Is there a resolution for this? I have it installed on my test site which is a brand new site install, at 4.2.0 Beta 1, with no modifications installed.

Qwk86gn 05-20-2012 02:23 AM

I think I have that fixed, mistake on my part. Also fixed the navigation area not displaying like it used to.

Added a Blue version! ;)

Well, it worked for the background. Now the text in the blog is black also. Can't see the blog entry.

Qwk86gn 05-20-2012 05:01 AM

I'm not able to get the same result. Are you typing in a blog message or copy & paste?

copy and paste.

Edit: N/M, I just changed the text color and it worked fine. Thanks

Qwk86gn 05-20-2012 10:29 PM

Yea copy & paste brings over any format the text may already have.

Updated 4.2 b1a

Feature: Added a Blue version.
I downloaded this theme for 4.2 but did not see a blue version. Am I missing something?

Qwk86gn 05-26-2012 03:27 AM

The xml for the Blue version is in the xml folder, it must be installed as a child to the vbulletin-Blackend.xml

Bob_R 05-29-2012 01:25 PM

First and foremost thanks for updating this skin/style! Kudos!!

How do I update my site to version 4.2 without losing all the changes I made. Colors, thank you hack, for examples.

Thanks!!

Qwk86gn 05-29-2012 02:09 PM

I would install the newest version of the style leaving your old one in place then copy over any edits you have done.

About the only way you can do it as updating a style overwrites any edits you have done. Wish there were an easier way but the changes since the last update were numerous.

You could try setting your edited version as a child to the new version and see if that works, but I wouldn't do it live.

Thanks nice

Where are the xml files for the CMS and Blog areas?

Thanks! Have been using your theme for years...

Qwk86gn 06-19-2012 04:17 AM

The xml is for everything, the only time it is different is if you have forum only, even then I'm pretty sure any xml will still import.

Thanks

docvader 06-19-2012 05:13 AM

Don't think so, I know it did so in the past with all the previous themes I used. The blue and the orange xml's only seem to be converting the forum; the blog and the CMS have white backgrounds, and only some of your theme colors. I'm using VB 4.2; forum.russbo.com. Maybe version 4.2 has a new way of doing things? Seems like some previous posters had the same issue. And, for some reason, other theme authors are writing three separate xml's (blog, CMS, forum) for their submissions.

LiftYourHood 06-22-2012 01:30 AM

Can I install this style on 4.2.0 Patch Level 2?

Is it ok if I don't have the Publishing Suite with CMS?

thanks! this is my all time favorite style, I'm so happy that you updated it. can wait to hear back from you,

-Nick

Not sure what to tell you, every time I import the style.xml it worlks fine. Blue and Red must be set as a child style to the Blackend (orange).

Should work fine, you may have to check the box that says "Ignore style version" when importing.

T.P. 06-22-2012 04:52 AM

It doesn't work with vBulletin Suit ... But the CMS is White Background !!!

docvader 06-22-2012 05:01 AM

That's what I've been saying. The CMS and the Blog parts have white backgrounds, and are not completely picking up the theme.

The Forum part works fine for me. Beautiful and very professional looking, as it always has been. Been using this one since it first was born...

Qwk86gn 06-22-2012 06:45 AM

After a fresh vb 4.2 install I see what your are saying. Not sure what the deal is because I never have had to export Blog and CMS separately. Seems like it may be a bug in 4.2 as the 4.2 B1 worked fine for me.

docvader 06-22-2012 07:03 AM

agree. as i mentioned it seems that they changed something in this latest version. other theme authors are writing seperate blog and cms xml files. why these are all seperate now seems a mystery to me, but maybe they have a reason for separating all these components theme wise.

Qwk86gn 06-23-2012 12:22 AM

Style updated to the most recent vb release. Added Blog & CMS xmls

docvader 06-23-2012 02:02 AM

Excellent. Looks great. Thanks for taking care of that.

I have a problem with the "User name" field on the Registration page.

Please see the screenshot I attached.

The problem seems to be with the tick.png image..

PS: I'm using Firefox latest version and it is also doing the same under IE 8.

What would be a good way to fix that?

Thanks again,

-Nick

Loxor633 07-07-2012 01:35 AM

I installed this on style on 4.2.0 Patch Level 2
It worked first time for me
Brilliant colours and design
Well done and thank you very much for wonderful work

mp3president 09-11-2012 08:40 AM

I like this style, but can it also be used in vB3.8.* ?
I'm using this style in my vB4 forum, but I want to downgrade it to 3.8, because I dislike the last versions of vB.
It's not so user friendly anymore as the earlier versions.
This is why I want to know if it's possible to use this style in a vB3.8 version.

Thank you

Qwk86gn 09-12-2012 05:30 AM

No vB3.8 version sorry. Quite different in terms of styling.

aussieoutdoors 10-02-2012 12:33 PM

Solved!!

Anbieter 10-12-2012 07:36 AM

TankerHC 10-21-2012 06:52 AM

Having this problem (image). Uploaded all files to correct locations. Correctly uploaded xml file.

I am getting no buttons of any kind. I did for a minute, but they all show as broken links. Some of my members avatars are coming across as broken links and there is some over writing on different areas. How can I correct this?

Qwk86gn 10-22-2012 02:00 AM

I would need a link to your site to debug that for you.
