no email notifications?

A pity...

I have just upgraded to the vBulletin 4.2.0 compatible version and one of my users is complaining that he isn't being sent notifications when he is quoted. He receives notifications when he is tagged but not when quoted. He has a $ sign in his name if that makes a difference. Thanks for your support.

Still getting notification issues on the page, where it will notify as if the notifications mod is installed. It's basically giving me on all pages except the homepage, notifications about how many users there are in the registration queue, which is a feature from your notifications add-on.

Hmmm i see its been updated and few ppl said its working on 4.0.2 so what am i doing wrong ?? I don't see tagging option at all while creating new threads....... i do see a menu on left side of admincp i do see settings and everything but when i try to tag users in blogs or threads or post anything i don't see any option for user tag ???? any help . thanks in advance

Looking awesome, however any possibility of having autocomplete for the "Tag User" text field above threads, similar to the private message text field, where a small popup will show a suggested username?

There are no thread tag fields in the Blog at this time.

If you do not see the User Tag List above the threads, ensure it's been enabled in both the settings and the Forum Manager under DBTech - User Tagging.

There's no display to @mention someone in a post, you just do it :)

If you post this in our support forums for AUT we'll be sure to take it into consideration for future versions :)

Whats the user tag list box for?

With this mod installed, every page except the homepage is given Super-Mods and Admins this notification:

There is no functionality within this mod that alters the behaviour of users awaiting moderation, I believe you are mistaken.

Could you please double-check that it is, in fact, this mod causing it? Please also try disabling all Plugins from this product and re-enable them one-by-one until you find the culprit.

I looked through all comments, maybe missed it...

I have a user name with a period (.) in it.. this name will not work with the tagging. tried with and without the ; on the end.. tried entering in the tag box, it will not recognize it.

any ideas?

hmm have reinstalled this mod several times but I can find any perms for this in the usergroup permissions or in the users settings.... its just not there.

No notifications are being sent out either :(

This is the only mod I have installed apart from VSA chat box.

Any ideas (really like this mod and dont want to remove it...)

I've done everything to a "T" uploaded files, edit mange button and user groups am I missing something?. It shows the thanks counter in the postbit but no thanks button to push to thank the thread,

This is a user tagging mod, not a thanks mod. To use it you type @username to mention someone, or #hashtag to hashtag something :)

I am unable to replicate this in v3.0.0 of AUT, which is currently in Beta for Pro customers. It should be released in a Lite version hopefully next week.

Could you please post the exact username that you're unable to @mention? I tried with "Test.test" and that worked fine for me :)

I think he's the only member I have with a period in his name, but he's one of the most active, so don't want to exclude him if possible...

yea, I'm an idiot!!! Was in a rush and was adding both these mods and type it in the wrong one. My bad!!!:D

Just updated to the latest version of this addon on 4.1.11. Got the same error installing the product again. Any idea what could be causing this at all?

I have this installed and originally had the notification for new quotes on. However when ever we received the new quote notification when it was clicked on, it took you to your profile.. but did nothing.. It didnt show you the quote and didn't clear the notification.

I have since turned this off and we can't get rid of the notifications?

Are you using a custom product manager? If so, please try disabling it.

I don't have 4.1.11 installed anywhere, please tell me the contents of that line.

Are you running vBSEO? If so, you need to either disable profile rewrites or use our vBNotifications product, since I was unable to make notifications that directly link to a profile tab compatible with vBSEO.

I found the problem... I wasn't paying attention close enough.. His name is Sgt. K and I was missing the space between the . and K.... works perfect!

Hello, currently implementing this on my forum's mobile style, and have a pretty simple question. Currently, for PMs, we have an icon at the top that is yellow when the user has new PMs (in place of a notifications drop down), exact code as follows:




Basically, I'm wondering if Tagging (and now Quoting) has a variable that will function in the same way as "$vbulletin->userinfo[pmunread]>0" in the code above? I want to have a "tag" button next to the PM button, that will function in the same way (yellow when new tags), as my users absolutely love user tagging and miss it a lot on my mobile style! Currently there is a button that goes to the tags page, but obviously, they just have to check back for new tags rather than getting an alert.

dbtech_usertag_mentioncount, _tagcount, _quotecount I believe are the names :) You can look for them in the user table to verify :)

Not until v3 goes out of Pro-only Open Beta, no.

I have found someone to make this modification to work on Darthos Lightweight style. He is charging $50 and you can see and test the product out before sending payment.

We're not using a custom product manager, just the standard one in vBulletin. We do have a heck of a lot of addons, though we've never had any compatibility issues before. I should note also that despite that error, the addon does appear to have installed correctly.

Got the advanced user tagging mod to work with Farthos lightweight style! Score!!!!!

Advanced User Tagging v3.0.0 (Beta 3):

Emails:

• Email alerts for all features
• Globally disable emails for any of the features
• Email notifications go through an extra (hopefully) invisible redirect to clear its notifications, to ensure users are logged in before viewing their profiles

General Features:

• Ability to disable Thread Tag list entirely for guests
• Globally disable any of the features
• Profile notifications now go through an extra (hopefully) invisible redirect to clear its notifications, to work around vBSEO compatibility issues

Changes / Fixes:

• Mentions no longer trigger within quotes
• Users will no longer receive notifications for Mentions, Thread Tags or Hash tag subscriptions triggered in forums they cannot access

Strange, I cannot figure out why all of the forums are not showing the box to tag users, I cannot find anywhere that states which forums would have this. Only certain forums are showing it.

I'm a little iffy about beta's but those are some nice features added. Keep up the great work.

updated a site I manage and they emailed me that they started getting DB error Emails..
I only made a announcement using @user to let people know
I believe they @ me back to thank or something and this is when the errors started :erm:

Email alerts go out instantly, depending on your server's email queue of course :)

hmm not working for me - other forum emails are fine

edit: working for some, not for others. probably those with admin emails switched off....
