Still adding the annoying linebreak at the top of images. Have reverted templates/stylevars and disabled all plug ins and it still persists.

artcrimes 08-17-2012 11:53 AM

it's cool thanks..

Make sure you follow the install instruction.
Usually people do not upload the files and hack does not work.

Is this mod necessary any more? Using vB 4.2 on a modern browser, inline images dynamically resize with the size of the browser window.

vB does not re size [IMG] links from the outside. This mod is needed for that purpose, if you want all images to be a consistent size, where when they are selected the image will show larger.

What browser are you using? I'm using the latest version of Chrome on a Win7 laptop. See these large external inline images on my site: http://www.teslamotorsclub.com/showt...he-New-Detroit

For me they shrink dynamically to fit the width of my window. I used to use this resizer mod, but then if the window was smaller than the set width of the image, it would get cut off. I think the dynamic shrinking is a more desirable behavior.

Oh, I see. You are using full size photos. I don't like full sized photos, I want them to reduce in size like vB Image Lightbox. I use this mod to reduce the size of external pics to be smaller and not take the whole page. Lightbox will not work for external links.

I purchased the branding-free version 1.5 a while ago and now 1.6 is out. How do I upgrade to the new branding-free version 1.6?

Hello, I saw this question before but i insist

Is there a way to remove the bar but to enlarge the image by clicking on the image?

Or place the bar "hidden" on the image?

Thanks.

You can probably accomplish this with CSS.

Latest release installed; working great; thanks.

I am attempting to put a number of the amount of image resizes that this plugin does. Is there any way to insert a counter that would keep a running number of times that this plugin was called in my database?

Delfi_r 11-24-2012 02:58 PM

It's possible to use this mod with one size for the forum and another for the CMS and the Blogs?

Wold be great!

abieteh.com 12-04-2012 01:40 PM

Hey ,

I use vbulletin 4.2 ( recently upgrade to this version ) and test both 1.5 and 1.6 versions but it doesn't work for me !

Before upgrading to 4.2 , in vBulletin 4.1.4 this mod worked fine for me in my forum .

Seven Skins 12-05-2012 01:41 PM

Upload the JS file to the server.
I am getting 404 error.

Code:

Did you enable the plugin settings in the options? Works fine for me on 4.2 and worked fine on 4.1 as well.

fxdigi-cash 01-22-2013 03:39 AM

Hi Superprb, Thanks for asking. Yes, I did. I have enabled the settings in the options, but still not resizing. any image doesn't get resized except the attachments and as you know that is because of the resizing feature at the vbulletin forum...

any idea what to do?

Here is my forums, you can see that resizing don't happen:

Mr_Running 01-22-2013 01:18 PM

@fxdigi-cash This hack resizes external images (not attachments)...at the very least the images would need to be placed on your server. ;)

If the image is clicked it redirects to the Full Forum page? Is that by design?
I would prefer it did not re-direct :)

Hi mate, Thanks for the comments. Yes, you are right. Never thought about albums being uploaded through the attachment.

Now it works fine, I was just hoping that it works for albums uploaded from attachments.

However, this is a little weird. why albums pictures don't get resized at vbulletin4 !!!

Thanks all for the great efforts

Seven Skins 01-22-2013 01:46 PM

This hack does not work in albums, please read the info ...

This hack resizes external images (not attachments) in cms, blogs, posts, new thread preview, signatures, private messages, visitor messages and vBadvanced CMPS.
Try adding the code below in the additional CSS.

#picturelink img {
width: 100%;
}

If this doesnot work try this.

#picturelink img {
max-width: 800px;
}

This hack does not alter the URL of image. If the url does not have the home page link in it ... it will not redirect.

fxdigi-cash 01-22-2013 01:56 PM

Thanks Seven,

This code worked great, thanks.
Code:

#picturelink img {
max-width: 800px;
}

I thought there is a way how to resize pictures in the albums....

Thanks again

artcrimes 01-24-2013 11:02 AM

nice plugin! thank you

Originally donated via PayPal with thanks, to support mod ... :up:

Been working fine for a long time...

Still running v1.3 along with vBulletin 4.1.3pl5...

Width set to 900 and height set to 0 ...

Started to get reports from members that when they clicked on yellow bar, the pic would enlarge, but the option to click on the yellow bar to reduce the pic back to the original smaller size stopped working.. :confused:

In other words, the yellow bar remains in the expanded pic state and it's no longer active...

Not sure what's wrong or what's changed that would cause this? I haven't added any other mods in a very long time...

I didn't want to upgrade to v1.6 just in case it blew something else up, but should I do that to see if it fixes the problem? I have an old 1.3 zip file, so can I retrograde downwards if I try the 1.6 and it causes other issues?

Thanks for any feedback .. :)

Regards,
Doug
