One thing, the calc for the 10 point scale, when you look at the results is just off by one decimal. See below:

Post 58 in thread: How about this Customer to Customer (800%) 1 07-14-2010 08:35 AM

Don't think it's suppose to be 800% :)

This is on helpfulanswer.php I take it?

Hello Helpful Answers Mod Users -

A new version of the mod has been posted up to support 4.0.4 and 4.0.5 versions of vBulletin. These versions introduced new changes impacting the display of the voting system which have been resolved. If you are running a version of vb4 older than 4.0.4 please keep using the same version of this mod (2.3.1) that you currently have.

To update please install the new XML file. No other changes are necessary.

And thank you to all HA users, as of this week there have been over 1,000,000 reported votes!

TF4U 07-16-2010 04:47 AM

Thanks a lot..!! I will definitely try this mod in VB4.0.5 and give u a feedback...

cevo 07-16-2010 04:52 AM

I am using vb 4.0.4 PL1 and I have successfully upgrade this mod to 2.3.2.
How I noticed 2 two

1. Some configuration label are missing https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/

2. Once clicked to vote any useful post I got this error

Warning: curl_setopt() expects parameter 2 to be long, string given in [path]/helpfulanswers.php on line 483

How can we make a translations file to share for italian users?

fulviods 07-16-2010 07:27 AM

Thanks for your nice mod!
I have a question. I would like to use this mod that affects reputation system on some sub-forums , but dont want that users can use the reputation system.
Reputation should be used only with helpful answers on some forums

How can i do that ? Thanks

tpearl5 07-16-2010 03:59 PM

Hey Ted - I installed the update - I'm still not seeing the post block though. Am I missing something?

Edit: Now that I look at it, helpful_answers_mosthelp_post doesn't exist anymore. Is it not used in this version?

TF4U 07-16-2010 05:52 PM

Hi TED..I have successfully installed the mod in 4.0.4 with only one complain...user profile is not showing the rating... actually "http://yourdomainname.com/profile.php?do=helpfulans" link is showing the rating for the user. But normally the link is not available to the users in the user profile. I have to let them know about the link for checking their own rating. Moreover, the other users won't be able to see any other user's rating. Sorry!! but the above mentioned link will show only for the current user. Please fix this out or tell me if i m missing out something...

I'm not sure what you mean... the page helpfulans shows the top helpful answers, it does not show individual users or votes.

This is something I'm working on... doesn't look like it made it to the 4.0 version, you were the first to point it out.

This mod uses the reputation system so you need to leave it on, but could disable the output by removing it from templates or set to 0 reps per day.

I'll get the phrases fixed up in the next release.

Disable the annonymous tracking to solve the error.

Is this constant (like all 3rd votes, all negatives, all admins)? If not, it sounds like a server connection. Either the code registers or it doesn't...

CvP 07-17-2010 10:39 AM

no, not constant. but never mind that. I have bigger problem.

the collapse post if negative rated is working but kinda broken.
it says to "[...] click expand to view it" but the arrow to the far right is faced upwards instead of downwards.
and clicking it doesn't do anything.

also, the collapse doesn't work on non-legacy post bit and breaks the layout a little.

any idea what could be the problem?

Oh okay - good to know. I noticed that $thread[toppost] wasn't working either. Those two features are something I really liked in the 3.8 version.

Have you modified your postbit templates? Are you using legay or regular? How modified is your site?

Correct, these were not ported into the vb4 version but are now on the roadmap.

im currently on legacy. post collapses properly, but wont expand.
on regular, it wont even collapse.

I am having a problem with this product changing the layout of my forum when it is enabled. When enabled it gets rid of the white background behind the posts, this happens in all forums. I have included screenshots. White background is product disabled, flag background is with product enabled. Please help, I would love to use this product! Thanks.

It seems to be nulling my body_background and postbit_background stylevars.

Running 4.0.5 with most recent release of this product.

at least it works for me.
or you can switch to legacy postbit, that should work also.

but in my case (legacy postbit), hidden neg rated posts can't be viewed :(

10 Gauge 07-18-2010 10:02 PM

Thanks CvP, worked here! Hopefully we'll get a fix for that soon, I like the idea of that feature.

Great - can't wait to see them.

Has anyone figured out how to put "Did you find this post helpful?" in line with the post title?

CvP 07-19-2010 04:29 PM

ok. this might sound stupid. but how do you remove a vote?

I used to use thanks/groans mod. that one had this easy remove thanks/groans (user could remove his; admin could remove all).

The hide bit adds a new layer to hide the post. If you have a background you should not use this option.

There is basic moderation via the admin, more extensive admin options are still in development.

Are you using the hide negative rated posts option?

It sounds like your css template modifications have altered the default collapse behavoir or the behavoir in the postbit pages.

vBulletin does from time to time bug on installing phrases which is what happened here. These are included in the install file so you will either need to add them manually to the admin message phrase group or reinstall.

Using a table is the simplest way to do this, just use the manual placement option and edit your postbit / legacy template.
