MoRa GFX 08-05-2010 10:24 PM

Does it work well on vB4.0.5?

A Dead Puppie 08-08-2010 08:12 PM

Hey, i installed this before, then removed it. Now i reupload all of the files, and when i go to install the product.xml, this is what I get:
Code:

See this above: Duplicate column name 'award_allowrecommend'

Basically you either just deleted the files on the server and disabled the mod OR it did not uninstall properly. If it's still listed in the product manager then select to uninstall it. If it's not then you need to backup your database and delete the old tables associated with the Awards modification.

CypherSTL 08-09-2010 12:20 AM

The duplicate column errors, and issues with some tables not being removed after the mod has been uninstalled is fixed in the release I'm testing internally at the moment.

Awards show up in the admin groups profile tab but not in the mods. Something I can do to fix this?

Also,in the image below, I have this problem only occur for the Mod group again.

Help?

Why not let me put more than 127 points?

Might I make a brief suggestion?
In the installation instructions, modify
"UPLOAD the /upload directory to your forum root."

to

"UPLOAD the CONTENTS of the /upload directory to your forum root."

Otherwise, the product appears to install correctly, but the upload files aren't in the correct places.

A Dead Puppie 08-14-2010 10:13 PM

Hey, everything is working, but when i go to change the default submission data, i get:

"No Phrases Matched Your Query"

and everything is installed correctly.

betts02 08-16-2010 07:58 PM

Installed latest version on v4.0.5 and when i click check version via admin i get :

Warning: file_get_contents() [function.file-get-contents]: URL file-access is disabled in the server configuration in [path]/admincp/award_version_info.php on line 36

Warning: file_get_contents(https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/misc.php?...k&pid=YaAS4-40) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: no suitable wrapper could be found in [path]/admincp/award_version_info.php on line 36

Yet Another Awards System v4.0.2.1

mjda 08-17-2010 07:03 PM

I installed this mod, and it's exactly what I wanted. However, I do see 1 thing that could be changed. When I add the awards showcase to the postbit, it's posting between "Posts:" and "Blog entries:". In my opinion, it should post at the bottom of the postbit, even after the "Blog entries:". Just my thoughts on it. Other than that, it's exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!

Kriskof 08-19-2010 03:29 PM

I've always love this award mod, so I'm wondering if this works on 4.0.6 or not at the moment?

iDCamps 08-19-2010 11:19 PM

I have it installed on 4.0.6 and it works, except when you request an award you get

"There's some error when sending your award request. Please contact site's administrator for assistant."

But the request goes through...

Delazar 08-23-2010 03:00 PM

Since the update of vb4.0.4 to 4.0.6 I get a page with this error message as

Code:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare construct_depth_mark() (previously declared in /htdocs/awards.php:98) in /htdocs/includes/adminfunctions.php on line 1906

adders 08-26-2010 08:56 AM

I'm also getting an error in 4.0.6 when recommending or requesting an award, it get:

"you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons"

Anyone else getting this, any ideas for a fix.

Cheers

A Dead Puppie 08-26-2010 01:03 PM

@Adders, do you have the Admin usergroup permissions changed so you can view it? A lot of times, you have to manually give yourself permission to view it.

@Delazar, do you have a Dragonbyte Tech product installed, such as "vBCredits II Deluxe" or "vBShop" because I myself get the same error. It's because of this:

Quote:

It looks like YAAS copied a default vbulletin function out of adminfunctions.php, and vbcredits include adminfunctions instead of doing the same to whatever function(s) it needed.
Including adminfunctions is the correct method here, as it doesn't tie it up and cause problems with other mods (like YAAS is doing
If you don't...sorry. :P hope that clears some stuff...

adders 08-26-2010 03:25 PM

@ A Dead Puppie - Thanks a million that worked, funny thing is though that request was set to yes for everyone already but this didn't work, setting both recommend to yes made both work.

Cheers

Hello, It all seems to be going well except

My forum is contained within a pagewrap as seen in the Normal screenshot

After hitting the award link, the award.php blows out all the forum formatting as seen in the Award screenshot. I have not been able to find a way to fix this. I had the same problem with the "roster" mod, until it was updated on the site then it just started to work correctly.

Any help to have it conform to my forums css would be appreciated. Thanks

I am having the same problem. When I try to edit the PM content and subject I get this same error. Did I miss something on the upload or installation?

It does however add the recommendation into the award requests page.

I am also getting this when I use the recommend or request. It gets added to the request page as well.

Scratch that. I realized I had not set up where to submit the post. Duhhh.

CharlieDelta 09-07-2010 01:22 AM

How do I change the background color of the text box for explanation of request or recommendation? I am using a dark style and you cannot see the text.

Some of the tables weren't created during the upgrade.

It should, but I cannot confirm it at this point. I've been working on the Awards System, but a lot of my work is still on vB 4.0.4

wickedstangs 09-11-2010 04:11 AM

works like a champ on 4.0.6

Hey Cypher I think this is a fantastic mod and congratulate you on your fine work. The members on my site really like it and is being used with great excitement.
I have given this a 5 star rating and nominated.
Is there any way you could help me with my issue?

I got it to work, I just had to add {vb:raw headinclude_bottom} into the header of the AWARDS template, when I did that it pulled it all into the page wrap.

Great mod, thanks so much!

sulasno 09-17-2010 05:43 AM

what are the files do I need or do I download

Default CSS Data.txt
YaAS-Automation-R2.zip
YaAS-4.0.2-PL1.zip

which file do I install first ?

CypherSTL 09-18-2010 01:06 AM

You only need to download the YaAS-4.0.2-PL1.zip file.

The others are the plugin for Automation (In heavy beta), and the default CSS data.

DigitalDark 09-18-2010 06:48 AM

Hi everybody! I've installed this mod in my new forum. I've used this mod in other forum and I would like to ask something. In my new forum I've the same medals but there are a lot of members to give awards that they have in the old forum. It would be possible to give a medal to more than 1 user at same time with an sql sentence? My intention is to restore the awards making an sql sentence that allows more than 1 user.

I'm looking for something like this:

give award A to user 1,2,3,4,73,12,722,356

It would be great. Thanks!

thanks

where do I put Default CSS Data.txt ?

edit

do I create a award_css.css and add a template to a style?

slimgamer 09-21-2010 06:34 PM

Just installed this mod on 4.0.7 and it works great.

I noticed one minor cosmetic flaw. When I view a user profile that has an award, the footer background looks a little strange. This doesn't happen to users without awards.

Daryn 09-24-2010 06:49 PM

This mod is looking great for the most part. I've got a problem though when I go to the Awards list. When I do, my style is very much borked. This only seems to happen on one of my styles. Can have a look at it here:

http://www.scififur.net/forum/awards.php

If you can help, it'd be much appreciated.
