Who actually goes back and read 36 pages of a thread ;)

I know I for one will not support my mods no more when the same question is answered over and over. It isn't fair to the people who spend their time to make a mod then give it free with free support. Then people want us to answer the same questions over and over when it is clearly in the thread several times already. If thats what you want to do is push support out the window then feel free to be lazy and not read. See how far that goes. The least people can do is read the thread to see if the answer is already asked and answered. Why should we have to work extra hard because some people are to lazy. |

Note: fixed this problem. For some reason, dreamweaver wasn't synching correctly. As a result, many files just hadn't been uploaded. I just manually uploaded all files, and all is good.

Anyway, I seem to have a conflict - the vbStopForumSpam plug-in seems to prevents people connecting with their Facebook accounts on my vb4.02 test site and I am not sure I want to disable that when I upgrade my live site, as it prevents up to 50 spammers a day from registering. Has anyone else had this problem and does anyone have any idea how I can get around this? Thanks in advance for any help. :) |
Doesn't look like there's any support for this. What a shame cause it looks like a good addon if it worked. :(
|
Oh yes there is. This thread doesn't have 37 pages for nothing.
Anyways, I have a suggestion. When a user clicks on "Connect with Facebook" the next page that comes up offers two options: On the left is "Register" and on the right is "Login" . I figure that if the user is already trying to login with their Facebook credentials, that we would want to have them just click on "Login" and have them use their facebook credentials. Given this, I would propose to place the "Login" on the left and "Register" on the right. Lets have a show of hands. |

They might be trying to Register. :) (The functionality of this is slightly broken right now. Clicking Login should lead the User to their Profile Page, where they actually have to log in, then save the Facebook options. It currently just kicks them to the Register page. To be recognised first time by this mod, the user has to log in normally, go to their Settings, allow FB connection, then click Save.) |
