Image verification is being built into the paid version. Whether we will include reCaptcha in the first ever PRO version release I don't know. At the moment, I'm undecided as to they way were implementing the image verification.

Is there a way to make the ticket system ONLY available to registered members? :)

Jase2 06-03-2008 02:48 PM

Yes.

Usergroups --> Usergroup Manager --> Edit Usergroup (Unregistered / Not Logged In) --> HelpCenter Permissions --> Can View HelpCenter

mirageboss 06-03-2008 02:53 PM

Thanks for this mod.
Will help me heaps!

yes, there is in the usergroup settings. I already removed Guest / Non Reg user access.

However the whole point for my site to have this helpcenter is for board members having log-in or registration problems, ect...

is there no way to just have it usr vBulletins Guest user built in verification settings?

it is built in to have guests do the human verifcation before allowing posts or votes ect...

on my board it does use Recapcha...

I was using E-Ticket (non vB related free support ticket software) but with some more work, this would do the trick.

where is the list of PRO features?

Jase2 06-03-2008 03:14 PM

Yes, it can use your current vB verification. However, if you wanted to do this now, then it would require a lot of code change.

Go here: http://www.paulsonny.com/forum/helpc...p?do=newticket

You will see extra_options -- that is where most of our options are going, as you can see, I just finished doing the attachments, still more work to do. Also, we are going for better integration - such as using your vB postbit in tickets.

subnet_rx 06-03-2008 03:18 PM

Can you allow a usergroup to answer and help with these tickets?

Ignicoccus 06-03-2008 07:06 PM

Hi, i did a install on our test board and everything works really fine, great mod

As we run a german board, i translated all the front end phrases but i can't find the phrases for priority (low, medium, high) and public/private.

If you build in an image verification for unregistered users we will use this mod as a replacement for our contact form. So it ist very easy for my mods to reply to users and unregistered guests.

It would be nice if unregistered users are forced to leave a reply email adress.

Is it possible to notify registered users if they get a response to their ticket ?

Keep up the good work

Jase2 06-05-2008 08:06 AM

Notifications via email and private message on being incorporated into the paid version. For the priority system, you will need to edit the helpcenter.php file, and find the // Priority Code

Not a bad idea.. :)

everything running smoothly for 3.7.1?

PaulSonny 06-05-2008 11:53 PM

I believe so, I have had no one contact me yet to say its not working, or a particular feature is not working.

I will be upgrading to 3.7.1 in the next day or so.

Thanks, Paul.

Please do not use this thread on vBulletin.org to discuss the commercial version or it's features.

Jase2 06-06-2008 12:29 PM

People were asking about it Marco, we had to answer them. We've tried our best to tell members to ask such questions over at our site - but, we can only do so much.

b6gm6n 06-06-2008 12:43 PM

Hi, looks like a great mod, i wondered if you could tell me, as you know users often ask the same questions over & over, if a user searched my forums without finding the 'help center' could this mod also show help-center public tickets which included the search terms, or perhaps in reverse... i.e help center searches show relevant search tags and or FAQ items :)

King Justice 06-06-2008 02:29 PM

Try the attached file (overwrite the current one on your server). Don't know if this will work, but I'll upgrade our forums shortly so I can see where this is going wrong in 3.7.1.

Wow great, that's fixing the problem I think. Am getting an error in AdminCP though when trying to view "Department Manager":

Code:

Could not find phrase 'helpcenter_no_department'.
Can you help fix that as well? :)

Jase2 06-06-2008 08:21 PM

I will have to take a look tomorrow, since it's getting late here. We are planning to release an updated version shortly, to fix a few more bugs, and to fix a recent security issue.

Same issue as last 3. Using 3.7.1

joe1989 06-07-2008 08:12 PM

I cannot use this. I installed it, and I installed the product correctly. I can see it on the navbar and the admincp. However, in the admincp, the only thing that works is "helpcenter main settings." the other links show up in the admincp, but when i click them, all i get is a white screen. What's wrong?

Jase2 06-07-2008 08:25 PM

Please try this helpcenter_admin file and let me know how it goes for you. Remember to overwrite the current one on your server.

macc 06-07-2008 11:34 PM

used this file (helpcenter_admin.php),and get error in my admin cp ...when click on department management!

Code:

That helped, except now I still can't use the Department management. Before, none of the menus worked. Now, they all work, except Department management. Now, when I click department management, I get a message that says "Could not find phrase 'helpcenter_no_department'."

Sorry about this everyone, it seems when I updated the package to include a License file I have somehow managed to mix up the admin files. Give me an hour or so and I will have it sorted.

Again, sorry for an inconvience.

Paul.

Thank you. Is the correction made, or are you going to make it an attachment? Let me know...

i got the same error, this is a really nice script, hoping to get it up when youre done :)

PaulSonny 06-09-2008 11:42 AM

Hello Everybody,

Firstly I would like to apologise for this, when I added a License to the package I accidently somehow managed to mix the admin files up. Anyway, please update to the version above, just overwrite the product and upload the admin file and everthing should be fine, on 3.7.1, if not post any comments over at PaulSonny.com and I will try my best to fix them quickly.

Thanks again for your support, Paul.

BigDog56 06-09-2008 02:01 PM

I have installed the latest version onto a system running vb 3.7.1. And I have checked Yes to Automatic Navbar Template Edit. And my header text includes the default "$template_hook[navbar_buttons_left]".

But no Help Center button or link shows up.

Any advice?

Thanks,

Paul Cardin
