That link doesn't show up in UserCP even after I make the template edit. Under profile pic.

Slight problem - maybe someone could help.

The link in the UserCP works fine - sends me to the invitation page.

But the link that gets added on the Navbar doesn't work. It's missing the "/forums/" part of the address.

Two questions:
1. Where can I fix the above?
2. Is there a way to prevent the Navbar edit altogether so I can just have it in the UserCP? My Navbar is already crowded and customized.

Upload a image with the name invite_friends.gif or any name you want and use this code. If the conditionals dont work for any reason just remove them.

When installed the Mod shows up as a blank line in the Usergroups and when updating I get this error:

OK, I installed this invite mod and it installed very easy and thats cool, But I sent 2 test invites and none was sent.
Is there a way to correct this? I uninstalled this mod till this problem is fixed.

Im having similar issues but its because Im switching hosts so the email address doesn't match the domain ip or something along those lines. I can't send to homail or yahoo... both block them. Gmail I can send to with no problems as well as other paid email addresses.

I did configure vbulletin to send out via SMTP temporarily using a Gmail account so Im able to send to yahoo and hotmail until I get things settled. I invited myself to gmail and created an email address called domain_name@gmail.com to at least have my host name in the email address.

Is there a bit of code to edit to send through the forum mail server?

I've sent a test email to a yahoo/hotmail account from the admincp/diagnostics and email get through.
Ive sent mail from my hostcp and email gets through so I know its a problem with the mod.
Does anyone else have this problem?

I just tried to send a invite using the test forum Hasann created to a yahoo user and it was blocked... so it can't just be me having this problem. Has anyone successfully sent an invite to a yahoo user?

First i will say i installed this and it runs as smooth as silk, i love it and thank you for it!

My question is this, how do i change the text in red below to state the name of my forum? Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated...Thank you for this awesome Add-On!

Is anyone using this mod successfully with vB 3.7.1? I've read this entire thread, but am still unclear on how well this hack works. Seems like a great mod, but does it actually work?

I am using it, it seems ok.

I just wondered if there would be plans to include hot mail messenger into this.

Like on facebook it can contact your contact list and then send an email to everybody inviting them :)

P.S. in response to your post about hotmail blocking it, i sent it to several hotmail addresses and they all got it...I dont know what could be causing yours to do that. Other than hotmail and yahoo automatically block everything it seems, so your friends may need to click allow web content somewhere in their email options...Worth a try...Be well -

It works fine, it's just the mod itself lacks a few things it really should have, and has been abandoned by the writer.

Can someone make it so Ic can desinate specific user groups to have a cettain amount of invites and make it so 0 is unlimited?? This would be very usefull and I really need that cause mine is clan invite only based and im in need of that kind of feature.

I read a post in this thread that stated: "If you turned off regular registration, the person being invited could not register either". I thought that might be a problem with the mod itself.

Does anyone know how to make the referral field uneditable or hidden from the invitee? As is, they can simply backspace over it preventing you from finding out who's inviting spammers. Thanks!

Installed but it's not sending any email at all. I've tried to send to three different addresses and none have recieved an email? Suggestions?

I can't send to yahoo or hotmail. Gmail seems ok. Paid emails go through without a hitch. Are you on a VPS hosting plan like me?

For those of you having difficulties sending invites to yahoo/hotmail, you may want to import this modified xml (make sure you overwrite). The only changes I made in the product-invitation.xml file was:

It turns the senders email header to that of the webmaster (AdminCP-vBulletin Options-Site Name / URL / Contact Details-Webmaster's Email)

Previously the header included the recipients email which is the reason yahoo/hotmail was blocking.

I also added my webmaster's smtp settings in the email options, turned on SMPT and Enabled the '-f' Parameter in AdminCP-vBulletin Options-Email Options
