You should copy ALL files from ZIP to Server. This counts also for images. In RC there are new PNG files for bars.

Yes. Create a new award, name it f.e. Activity Silver. Click on the same fields like for existing Activity Award, but put a 1 on limit. A 2 would be bronze.

uhm, but in the package there aren't the silver and bronze medals (i mean into the .png version)

That's true, you have to do it on your own. Use the identificator for the gfx.

i created a silver award for the activity, with THIS result ...

PS in the attachment i put the silver and bronze awards ... so how i can link them into vBEx?

Thanks for this release. I have installed it in the live environment. The installation went smootly, no problems to report on that side. Taking into account the Blog activity is a good addition to this mods.

Here is one feedback:
I have been toying around further, and I noticed that new awards created, Silver & Bronze, do not show up either in the Award page or in the "vBExperience Ranking" page. :( Only Gold Awards are displayed. I have ensured that all graphics are included with the syntax: award_IDENTIFICATOR.gif, where IDENTIFICATOR has been replaced accordingly (e.g. activitysilver, activitybronze, communitysilver, communitybronze, etc...).

Probably a small lapse in the source code???

here's my feedback:

i created a new award called activity silver (description 'test') i settled the 'limits' and 'display' to '1' ... into 'identificator' field i put activity_silver.png (the name of the file which i uploaded onto my FTP) but i don't see the award, the only thing which i saw is the box in the awards page (i mean the page with the avatars) ... BUT if i change the name of the image file like activity_silver (without the extension .png) the box of the 'silver medalist" disappears ...

You are both doing something wrong. On InsideSupCom.de is RC running:

The Activity Silver Star is a new created award. I assume wrong settings for award gfx, limit and display order. Keep also in mind that you have to "Generate Awards" awards after you made a change to any award.

found the issue: all the awards img files must be renamed award_etc_etc. otherwise they don't work ... :)

anyway Marius, can you fix the awards page? right now it's 'dinamic', so if i haven't an avatar it goes out of 'phase' ...

Why an issue? It's stated in the description:

your're right, not an issue, simply a misunderstanding :)

however about the awards page, what you tell is correct BUT, not all the avatar's dimensions are the same ... so if i have an avatar bigger than yours the page looks no good ... ;)

edit: also if someone don't use the helpful award in the award page there is a 'blank' box ...

This is something I cannot confirm. You have to set the award's display to 0 and generate awards.

i'm gonna create some awards (silver & bronze for all) right now i created these:
  • Activity Award [Gold]Hyperactive Geek
  • Activity Award [Silver]Hyperactive Geek
  • Activity Award [Bronze]Great Award!
  • Posting Award [Gold]Zealousness posting and tagging
  • Posting Award [Silver]Zealousness posting and tagging
  • Community Award [Gold]Social engaged

anyway Marius just a tip for the future releases, fix the awards page and if is possible exclude the silver and bronze awards ... i saw this thing: if i've only the gold award without the helpful award i've got a 'blank box' ... but if i set all the award (always without the helpful) the page goes 'out of phase' ... check the shots ... (you can also check my award's right now)

Since vBExperience "adequately" (within defined parameters) brings out inactive users, I think that an additional option to automatically move those inactive users (activity = 0%) from their actual user group into a defined "Pruned Users Group" (or "vBExperience Inactive Users Group") will be interesting to have. :up:

You need to copy images to your style's misc folder.

Thanks I don't know why but I have been making these simple mistakes lately. Other than that works great. Can I change the color of the bars in the postbit?


And i also found out that this conflicts with vbpro arcade. It won't show the games that the person won in the postbit. Is there any way to fix this?

Well i found somthing else that i can't figure out. In quick reply it gives two links for vbexperience and it also does it when i turn on auto navbar.

How come almost all of my users have 0% activity. Its set to default 21 days.

Whenever I run the maintenance on this mod I get to about 4000 count on it and then I get an error from my SQL server stating that I have overdone my sql query limits that are set at like 100000 or something. I would like to know if there is any way possible that I can either split the maintenance into two parts or slow it down so that I do not run into this error. It is unable to complete the maintenance and was unable to even complete its run the first time thru. More importantly than just not getting everyone/everything included it takes down my vB for a few mins while it resets and I can sql query access again. I have spoken with my hoster and there is no possible way to get more queries added on. I am currently running at the Level 2 with about 6300 users with an avg of 360 active per day. Would changing to the higher level correct this or just make it worse? Any thoughts thanks and sorry for the rambling.

Why does this profile have 24 friends listed, while it's experience says 'Friends: 72'?

the Friends = 72 is the points value assessed to the user for the amount of friends they have. You can edit those points thru the admincp.
