Hi All
I was going to get the Pro version but unfortunately my budget won't stretch that far - $75 for the unbranded version I would pay but not $129 so I am using the lite version and have done some changes by fixing up all the closing tags and making it fit my forums really well.

In case anyone else wants a similar look here are the screen shots and the updated template files - as I said it fixes all the code that is left hanging and I think makes it work better. However, if anyone else can offer suggestions on improving it further then I would welcome your comments.

Did you import the xml?

It should be ACP>Usergroups>Usergroup Manager>Administrators>Don't select anything from the dropdown>Click GO.

It should be the first permsission settings menu under the vbulletin admin menu.

This Mod Should Complement the Mod "vBTube 1.2.9 (CSRF protection added)" and Not to Compete with it; When Trying to Install this Mod having installed the other, this Mod Overwrites the other Mod, wich I don't think is right; which Mod was first? the Two Coders should Know, but I think one of the Two Coders Should Change the Names of the Templates and Files so that Both Mods could Work on the same Forum. :confused:

I have Installed "vBTube 1.2.9 (CSRF protection added)" is Good for Atracting Traffic that is searching for Videos, but would be Nice to Use this other Mod to Allow Users to Present the Videos they Like the Most; until this Mod can "Share" the Space with the Other, that won't be Possible and Users Should Choose one or the other. I don't think that's Nice. :confused:

vbtubePRO is a rewrite of the extinct (at that time vbtube) which was trashed by vbulletin.org because of several exploits and virus issues.

vbtubePRO took that code and fixed it and renamed it after it was completely abandoned. These two do not compliment eachother because vbtubePRO is actually the successor and fully functional "NON EXPLOIT" script.

Somebody else brought back the old vbtube standard by themselves and fixed the exploit far after the more superb "vbtubePRO" was rewritten and submitted for live use.

vbtube CSRF protection added isn't anywhere near the same script. It's not even remotely close to the vbtubePRO lite script as well.

In essence they are two completely different mods re-written off the same base model.

They Share the same Template Names, and Also when You Install the other vBTube Application and then Install this One, then the other one is Overwritten.

Both Applications Overwrite Eachother, that is Terrible for the Final User, (Us), but Send a Dirty Messsage of Disloyal Competition bettween the Two (2) Applications and also FORCE (that's what I don't Like the Most) the Users to Choose One or the Other. I'd like to be Able to Use Both and as I've been Forced to Choose I've chosen the Other that Attracts Traffic to the Boards on Search Engines.

I wrote the Developper of this Mod and He/She Told me that He/She was Able to Install both Applications in His/Her Board, so Not Sharing the Solution with the Community has NO PRESENTATION.

But the New Developpers Can Take in Consideration that Both Mods Overwrite Each Other and Solve that Problem. The Problem is not the Previous Developper, the Problem is Caused by the New Developpers that Share Template Names and that Share the Same Name for the Installed Mod in the Boards, so both Products can't Work on the same Board. TERRIBLE FOR THE FINAL USER, that have to Choose one of them. In My Case I've Chose the Other Mod, but would like to Use this one too.

In Small Words, Correct the Problem and make the Product Compatible with the other One, or Simply Release a Second Version of this Mod that can Work in the same Board with the other Mod without Affecting it. That Is The SOLUTION.

I'm sorry but you don't make any valid points. These are two scripts re-written. The base model is still there. It's always going to be there. They aren't written to be compatible. There's no reason to have both installed.

If you want the "re-written" fully functional version of this vBTube 1.2.9 (CSRF protection added) then buy vbtubePRO. He's made his script "vbtubePRO" to work with that script and allow for full functionality to single click and add youtube video right to your vbtubePRO categories. You can vote, rate, make favorites, post reply, edit and delete.

Again, they are two completely different models based on the same code. That code is needed in order to make both work. If somebody wants to re-write it in the future they'll have to start from scratch, which makes no sense at all. Hope it all makes sense now. :)

Ok i got a problem with this one, uploaded all the files and everything but when i go to edit the usergroup settings for this hack instead of editing the usergroups its adding another usergroup into my usergroup manager.

What have i done wrong anyone has this issue or its just me?

Well when i edit the Administrator and SMOD usergroup to allow them to see and edit the vbtubepro links it doesnt do it but it just adds another usergroup Administrator or SMOD as soon as i save the usergroup im editing the permissions.

So i dont know whats wrong with it :(

admincp -> user groups -> Usergroup manager-> (than in the usergroup manager edit the usergroups you got in there like Administrators, moderators, Smoderators, user etc) once you press edit at the end of the permissions you will see the menu VBTUBE PERMISSIONS read them and allow what you want.)

My problem persists that when i do this one instead of editing the usergroup it adds another usergroup with the same title and everything but the vbtube permissions doesnt change, driving me nuts...
