Google.de is in 3.1. I should have a working copy out tomorrow or the next. It wont be the full version, thats still in work. But it will be what you're using now with some added features.

I tried that. Still a no go for me. What bbcode tags does yours use video or media. Instructions say it should insert media, but mine says video

Carsten77 08-08-2007 02:55 PM

i use the standard option with tags with media.

Nomar86 08-08-2007 04:12 PM

Very nice mod !! I installed it and it is working perfect !!

Thanks again

If you want to make a temp admin I'll look at it. The media tags can be whatever you want. You also shouldn't have to enter them.

.Tim 08-08-2007 10:15 PM

I don't know if this has been requested before, I searched the thread and didn't see it but how hard would it be to make it an option to disable the media tags for a user? Like you can the img tags. I'm asking because a lot of people browse my forum from work and youtube and similar sites are blocked but when they view a thread with the media tags being used it's giving them a blocked notice since the site is blocked and in some cases making the page load delay. So it would be nice if I could give users the option to disable the tags and just have it show as a link.

nix 08-08-2007 10:27 PM

This is one thing that I'm adding to the new version. I have the same problem when I'm at work. So one of the new features is that it will take a link and give you a thumbnail and link to the video. When you click the link it will popup with the video so it doesn't load a ton of flash videos in a thread. I also made it so it stores the info in a database so if you don't use cached post it doesn't have to go and retrieve the same info with every pageview. It will also check to see if a link is already posted and if so it will redirect the person to that thread.

Nick0r 08-09-2007 01:29 PM

Hey guys, when I post mp3 links it leads to the thread being a permanent blank page. I can't fix that.

Also, I uploaded a .wma via the attachment system but it won't "play".

Ok I can do that if you want to register. Also where would I set the media tags at? It's acting like there is no bbcode for those tags but I did not see in the instructions anywhere to add custom bbcode for it.

Nick0r 08-09-2007 02:45 PM

Some further bugs: the mp3 problem is still alive.

.wma .wmv's won't play if uploaded.

If you use quicktime, it won't play videos it asks for some odd extra plugins.

Edit: tried uploading .avi too, didn't play either. The page appears to load forever, and the media player shows up. The play button doesn't work though.

I've moved all attachments to the file system too.

That all should be fixed in the new version.

nix 08-10-2007 02:12 AM

Some small SS of 3.1.

Oh ok that is why it is showing as a video tag.

But it's still not working. Like it is not parsing that bbcode, because when you enter the url for the video, highlight it and press the M button it surronds the url with the video tags and when you post, instead of displaying the video it shows [VIDEO]videourl here[/VIDEO]

nix 08-10-2007 04:41 AM

create a temp admin account and pm me the info.

wrestlesomnia 08-10-2007 05:16 AM

This is very nice, thank you :)

Nick0r 08-10-2007 11:54 AM

nix I'm really looking to launch videos on my site asap, however I can't without the next version (e.g bugfixes) any ideas on timing?

Looks great!!

rapidphim 08-10-2007 06:36 PM

can this one work on 3.6.8?

txsbmw 08-11-2007 04:08 PM

Ok I have finally got it to work well kinda. I reset the option for the bbcode tag to media (so apparently it will not work if you try and change the bbcode tag in the options to anything other than what is there) but now I get:

Error: unsupported media type.

When trying to link to a youtube video.

EDIT: Had to do what the other posted suggested, set options to no, save, then set options to yes and save. Now videos are showing.

Darkus 08-12-2007 04:19 PM

May I ask what specifically that fix was? Because my YouTube does not work :(

If it is giving you the invalid file error, go to AdminCP >>>> VBOptions >>>> AnyMedia Player Options >>>>> Set all to no, save, set all to yes, save should fix it.

nickypoooo 08-14-2007 08:37 AM

I followed all the steps and All I get is a blank white screen after post submit.
any idea?

Darkus 08-14-2007 09:59 AM

Still getting the unsupported error :(

Then I don't know. I know YouTube works because that is what I was testing it with. At first I got that invalid file or whatever error. Then after I set all options to no, save, set options back to yes, save (like the other person said) it fixed it for me.

Nick0r 08-14-2007 02:27 PM

Lets hope nix can get the last bug fixed in the new version asap and then we can all enjoy the new features!

Tralala 08-14-2007 07:14 PM

Now this is a totally cool screen recorder, with easy SWF conversion/uploading/sharing (free apps for Mac and PC: )

http://www.jingproject.com/

Here's an example of the video it makes:
http://www.screencast.com/t/VrYr7SXQ

Lots more examples here:
http://blog.jingproject.com/

Any chance we can get support for this with AnyMedia? That'd be completely awesome. I can think of MANY ways this would rock on a vBulletin forum.

Doesn't look like Vb and prototype.js are going to play well together. It would require vb to change the way it codes. They said maybe in the future. So I'll have to find another way to do what I was doing...

PM me details to your forum and I'll take a look.

Muscolino 08-15-2007 07:13 AM

Will this add-on work on on vBulletin 3.5.X? I'm currently running 3.5.3 on my forum and have the old AnyMedia player. This update though looks great.

nix 08-15-2007 07:55 AM

It will but you have to take out all the references of "execution order".

I've also found a new way of doing what I was trying to do with prototype. Its a little different but works the same sort of. So I'm back to getting a release out.

I don't see an embed feature on that site. So the only way I could do it is an iframe or ajax.

Not now but you could just mode the profile page to add it. I'm going to add this in a later version.

If its the same issue it has something to do with your paths for the include file.
