I noticed it was because of the images missing and firefox automatically takes the links away i think only the images are linked not the actual titles bbcode smileys etc.

i uploaded the team icons to fix the img issue within the shoutbox but i dono how to fix it for the bbcode smileys etc.

You mean just see and not chat ? If this is what you mean then it is not possible on the version 1.2 but corrected in the 1.3 which will be released very soon.

If you want to allow them to chat then it is actually possible if you set the permissions for nonregistered users.

As told in the Readme file, you must upload the images files in all your styles :)

This is due to an error in the modification you made in the navbar template as you can see from the menu appearing in the middle of nowhere.

As I see your style, I think you should maybe not put the modifications in the navbar (it seems a bit too fixed to add anything).

when i shout some words like -_> löööööl

the ö or üöä doesn´t display. why ?
the charset ist correct.
i have test the utf8 option from 0 to 1, but the äöü will not display when i shout.

On my hack selling forum, I used to experienced that problem with our old host (mavenhostings).

I think this due to a server problem incompatibility as we experienced that problem with all existing ajax based chatbox/shoutbox. And we also had problems with many ajax functionnality in vbulletin.

I am not very experienced in ajax (though I made it for the chatbox, this was my learning hack ;)) so I really dont know where it could come from :(

Does other ajax functionnalities on your forum works well ?

This solution should always work if you have activate correctly the option to show on forumhome for example and then have modified the template forumhome to add the modification explained !

Can't we force MGC chat box or online users a URL. Like if get a command /force <url> and when we enter it in chat box, then browser automatically force that url on every bodies PC who is online. ???

No itz not like that. if i want to force a url to open on online users pc through MGC chat box, is that can be possible.

e.g. if i want my online users to visit www.unitedpunjab.co.uk while they are chatting, so i enter a command "/force www.unitedpunjab.co.uk" in chat box. After that site get automatically pop uped where ever MGC chat box is active.

actually not it's not possible, maybe I'll do it but actually when I retrieve the chats, I have no statuses telling me if there are new chats and it would add one query which I don't actually find that useful.

Which options to I enable/disable in the usergroup section so not logged in users can only view the shoutbox but not add a shout - as I can't get this to work, it just won't show up without allowing guests to make shouts....

i think you didn't uploaded boths xml-products after uploading all the files.

I tried to install this thing and it didnt work on my site for whatever reasons, then when I tried to uninstall I came up with snags...

I looked through the file and saw no uninstall options...

For that you have to edit manually the mgc_chatbox template.

No I am sorry I forgot to include the uninstall instructions in the previous release...

How you should do the uninstall :

1. Remove template edits you made for the chatbox
2. Remove the files from your server
3. Uninstall the chatbox product first and then the bitfields one

What were your problems when installing the chatbox ?

First question:
You have to edit the mgc_chatbox template and change the colours of the tables wherever you want them to change.

Second question:
This was possible with 1.1 but not anymore with 1.2 and upper as it's not based anymore with the vbulletin date format.

Yeah this actually is a known issue I have corrected in the version to be released.


I am not at home actually but will be back in the evening, I then will look at the issues given by my beta testers and will probably finish the readme files update.
I have also all screenshots to make again as I have change the design of the chatbox.

As you can see, that is Number 27 on his list and is crossed off. Therefore you can expect that issue to be fixed in the upcoming version.
