The guest table has crashed in mysql, you need to repair it.

That error should not stop you logging into your admincp to repair it (just type the url in direct).

Alternatively you could access your database via phpmyadmin and repair the table.

Paul I turned the Guests View of whats Going on to off a few days ago , I cant access my Admin CP and this is the only corrupt table ,

To anyone else who has this error what view of whats going on do guests have?

Guests will get a database error until you repair the table.

Why can't you access your admincp ?

As I said before, a crashed guest table will not prevent you accessing the ACP, just type the url into your browser ( http://www.dieselbombers.com/admincp/ ).

It still goes to a Vb Database Error , The vbguests table has corrupted the index My site has been down for more than 24 hours now because of this , and may be down for 3 days

waiting on my host to fix if they can if not then i dont know what the heck im going to do

Please PM me an admin login, and phpmyadmin access. I can't see why you cannot get in.

Im In Now Paul , And i got the site backup , the Main Structure wasnt populating beyond the corrupted table , I had to run a syntax query w/o the Extension to repair the table .

However I have Disabled this Mod and can you tell me the Correct Un install Method ?

Should i delete the Table vbguests?

You would uninstall it like any other product, with the uninstall option.

For what reason are you uninstalling it ?

Page 33 Of This Mod , I was plagued With the Exact Same thing May of been coincidental but thats not a chance im willing to take , I have the Mod Disabled , If i select Uninstall will it delete the tables it created in the mysql database or do i manually have to delete them ?

Sad Cause i really liked this , i dont know if i had too many guests at one time or what but i dont want to go through this again

I'm afraid it doesn't.

Table crashes are a fact of life with mysql - your database died in a big way - in your other post you mention at least two other tables that crashed, possibly more. Presumably you are not going to remove the vb search facility (your search table crashed) or the image verification system (one of those tables crashed). :)

All it points to is that you had a major mysql failure, which knocked out several of your more busy tables.

Still, it's your choice, uninstalling it should delete the table.

Well i enabled this and in less than 5 mins it corrupted my database again

and took out
vbmail
vbuser

Your site is crashing anyway, as per your previous post (#533).

This modification has no connection with either the user table or the mail table.

You seem to have a very unstable server.

Works like a charm. Installed

* The ability to allow (or prevent) certain usergroups viewing the display.
* The ability to run the display code on all pages (not just forumhome).

These have been added/updated to match the same options as my other 'Display' modifications.

* Controls for the displays automatic template update.

Added the template name to the options.

* The datastore read (for spider detection) will read from the File/APC/Memcache/Xcache datastore [if used].

If you use a datastore extension such as APC etc, it will now attempt to read the spider details from the extension, and only revert to a database read if that fails.

None of changes are major and upgrading is optional, allthough if you use a datastore extension then I would suggest upgrading as it should now make use of it.

is it possible to combine this mod with your other mod, Members who has visited today? I do not want the members to see the spiders and stuff rather they only see the list of how many members and guests visited today. So its like for members combine both mods into one or more like just one stats bar but for admins you have two stats bars. I tried to tweak it a little but it didn't work

There is currently no way in this mod to view a list, and hence ip data etc. A newer version that has this capability exists on my test forum, but is still being tested atm. It will be released sometime during september.

This is a beta test version of new data collection and display options.

If you don't want to help test this then please don't use version 1.18.

New options (Revision 1.23);

* Clicking on a guest/spider type in the main display will open a new page listing all the guests of that type that have visited recently.

* New guest views data is collected, tracking each guests viewing of the forum index page, forums and threads. This data collection can be separately disabled.

* If views tracking is enabled, clicking on a guest in the new guest listing will open a page showing their viewing data.

This is not completely finished, but should be [mostly] fully functional - many bits are not using phrases atm, so please don't point that out.

Basically I'm looking for people to test it and comment (is it useful to you, what else could be added etc, as well as any bugs).

Note that if you decide to revert - the best way to go back to 1.17 is to re-download that version, install it over the top, and then drop the guestviews table in mysql. You can uninstall 1.18 if you want, but that will drop all your current guest data (which will build up again over the day of course).
