We currently have Zoints Local 1.0.2 and 2.1.4 of the vBulletin product in testing with our QA team. While we're confident of its stability, we like to kick the tires a little. If any of you want to help us test it out, please PM me over at http://network.zoints.com (same username).

I wouldn't mind being a beta tester but then I dont have any extra vb license and I am not trying to do no beta testing on my live site. I hope people will volunteer to make the process a lot quicker and hopefully there is no bugs on it for a quicker release date.

I think this should be customized to match vbulletin's theads and table borders and everything

Wow... I'd installed the first version, just the simple profile system and i didn't know it'd been updated to this version, Zoints Local... To be honest, i didn't like it and uninstalled zoints local completely :(

Zoints Local version 1.0.2 and vBulletin product 2.1.4 have been released.

Zoints Local 1.0.2 is primarly a bugfix version, but does provide improved handling for changing page styles retroactively from the zadmin control panel. The vBulletin product allows you to choose to keep the default forum profile for all members and route to the Zoints Local profile system in other ways.

Upgrade Instructions for Zoints Local 1.0.2

1. Download the new zip file and overwrite the existing files

2. After uploading the new files, access /z/install/manager.php in your browser

3. Click "Upgrade Zoints" and then click on "1.0.2"

Upgrade Instructions for the vBulletin product

1. Download and extract the files from the zip.

2. Browse to vbulletin admincp > product manager

3. Import the product and select overwrite to Yes

This doesn't work with national characters in usernames. Please fix it.

Did you delete your files before uploading? Do you have /z/includes/localsettings.php ?

Which character specifically? And can you show me an example of a url with that character in it on another site please?

Unfortunately I did. :( I just deleted my z folder and then pasted the new one there. Woops!

So is there anyway for me to redo the installation?

Upload all the /z/install/ files then go to /z/install/index.php and go through the process only as far as where it gives you the localsettings.php file. Stop the install process, upload that and then you should be fine. :)

Syntaxis javascript errors in explorer after fresh install on all zoints related pages. :(

Ok so we have it installed and so far we have 2 problems.

First off when use the My Communites feature. Once someone enters there communities and hits the save button we get this error.

So I asked my host and he came up with this info.

We also have the same problem when entering a Meebo code.

Anyone else come across this?

We have 100.000+ members at www.gamevillage.nl Is there any experience on installing this on large boards? Will the installation process cause errors on boards with more than 100.000 members? Will it slow down large boards after installing?

Zoints Local is installed on quite a few Big-Boards and nobody has reported any performance issues.

Right, that isn't a limitation of Zoints, those characters are not in any urls.

We have a system built into Zoints Local to resolve this. The first time a user accesses their profile, if they have those characters in their username, the system asks them to create a different profile username without the special characters. However, this probably isn't going to be a good solution for your forum. We'll need to add the ability to turn off usernames in the url as an option.

Please go to /z/zadmin.php and disable the forum header and footer then check for the .js errors. I'm betting it is a conflict with your existing .js

can i upload to the directory and not /z/ ?

because i want my users to have forumname.com/username not forumname.com/z/username as their profile address.

please advise...

...also im a bit confused, on zoints.com it says forum owners register here for your download... i did that at http://zoints.com/register.z it then takes me through to updating my profile etc, i dont see no other links?

I love the extra effort towards existing style integration of this most recent upgrade. However, it makes my logo disappear when navigating to any zoints related page. Any known issues with flash logos in header?

None that I'm aware of. Are you using a relative url for the path to the swf?

Are any files uploaded and stored on the file system instead of the database? I have multiple servers in a round robin and uploading to file system - any file - would not work.

I remember seeing in a demo site that a profile picture was stored in the /user/ folder. Is there an option to use the database instead for things like that?

I was just wondering if anyone else had the same problem as I'm having...

When I'm in the profile view "yoursite.xxx/z/username/", I can't change between the vB styles/templates from the quick style chooser at the bottom of the page.. I have to go back to the forums, change style, and than revisit the profile...

There is currently not a database storage option. But our server admin responded to you over on network.zoints.com with a potential resolution.

What version of Zoints Local are you using? The chooser should be removed from the footer on profile pages.

Aha. I'm on the newest version, just havent imported the product yet in vB. Guess thats why it's still there. I'm doing all the customization before publishing it.

Do you have any plans adding the style chooser or are there some problems with it?

Edit:
* The ability to only make admins create network groups and the possibility of having leaders for groups.

* What about having the possibility to specify which blocks are allowed on a pages basis, and not general.

* And if you do a little mistake with some blocks, the order gets cluttered up and you have to disable everything and set them back up to get the correct order again. There should be a "set this order for every member" button so you can override everything if you want to change the layout.
