Works great. Thanks a lot for the time and effort that's clearly been put into this mod.

I'm working on determining that myself. So far I've got it recreating the entire page with headers on another subdomain, and linking back to the boards, though it only shows the inital 4 or 5 posts when the page loads, and never cycles in new posts. So I'm still going to say it is possible, I just don't know for sure how.

olympist 05-01-2007 12:37 PM

There is a problem. I have read many answers here but could not find it.

I have uploaded all files, Although there are many answers, it does not move only showing last 30 minute threads / posts but not moving. What should be the problem how can I solve it.

MPDev 05-01-2007 05:30 PM

Do you have another "timer" in your header or footer which could be conflicting with the vaispy timer?

wtrk 05-02-2007 01:17 AM

great script, good job! the only thing is that it shows post from people on your ignore list.

MPDev 05-02-2007 10:49 AM

True; I didn't consider adding a check for ignored users.... maybe in an update.

Invalid ID 05-02-2007 03:52 PM

Will there be a chance to fix this mod?

MPDev 05-02-2007 05:04 PM

It's not broken.

LaCN 05-02-2007 06:36 PM

I checked it out with IE7.
Even your 2 example sites.

And it doesn't work.

The new posts are loaded with the page, exept the really new ones.
And the effects don't even show.

Your 2nd example site doesn't even show anything at all.

It works lovely in FF

MPDev 05-03-2007 12:40 AM

I run IE7 and have no problems with either site....

Tulsa 05-03-2007 12:49 AM

I loaded this one up and am letting my mods play with it before I release it to my members. It's working great, from PC and IE7 to MAC and FF. I think on of my mods said it best, he said, "Holy Crap, what a mod!".

Cybertims 05-04-2007 10:21 AM

Any smilie parsing happening yet?

Cheers in adavcne.

MPDev 05-05-2007 10:26 PM

Are they not parsing now? I can't remember.

Invalid ID 05-06-2007 01:17 AM

This one works great !!!

fci 05-06-2007 05:00 PM

I experienced a bug where I am using a custom template so the template wasn't processed correctly because it had replacement variables in the header.

to fix add this around line 334
Code:

$header = process_replacement_vars($header);

Bernd Glasstett 05-06-2007 08:20 PM

Well a nice addon, however it doesn't parse every replacement variable (maybe it does it too late, as you can see here:
http://www.comicforum.de/vaispy.php
I would love to use it and link it for my users, but this has to be changed first...

And of course it would be nice to have a german version...

how to make them compatible with vbseo

croportal 05-17-2007 06:09 PM

i have uploaded to the forum, but nothing happend http://www.croportal.net/forum/vaispy.php

the threads just staying????

Phooey 05-18-2007 02:19 AM

Just installed it and it works great, thanks!

I've got it installed here: http://www.digitallywise.com/forums/vaispy.php

Also, it seems to be working fine with vBSEO. It points to the original URLs (not the mod_rewrite ones), but if you have vBSEO configured correctly, that should take you right to the correct "new" url.

croportal 05-18-2007 12:36 PM

it redirect to vbseo, but the urls not SEO

my doesnt work www.croportal.net/forum/vaispy.php ????

Looks great! Check out http://www.vbispy.com and consider adding your site to the feed...

mpdev?????

can u answer me

aquariumpros 05-19-2007 11:51 PM

Why would this just stop working locally from time to time? Tested in FF and MSIE - multiple people on different systems, areas, networks, etc. all experience the problems @ the same time...

This is the 5th or 6th time this has happened - been out for the last 5 hours now...

arossphoto 05-20-2007 08:10 PM

Is there anyway to restrict use of this feature to certain member groups? I'm thinking it would be a nice thing to offer those members who have purchased a paid subscription.

I was looking through the php file, but I didn't see anything in there.

Thanks.

I couldn't find the answer by searching this thread, but I just read through some of the posts and found the reply below that answers my question:

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost....1&postcount=49

Quote:

ps: i have it only for selected usergroups. For those who want permissions can simply do this

add this below
require_once('global.php') line in viaspy.php

//set up usergroup permissions for view

if (!is_member_of($vbulletin->userinfo , #usergroups to check#))
{
print_no_permission();
}
It seems to be working okay. I guess now I just have to remember how to provide a link that is only visible to the same usergroups.

Cheers.

Niber 05-21-2007 06:26 AM

I've noticed that the post bot likes to add random spaces is there any fix for that?

For instance, make a post with..

"aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa a aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa"

When it appears on the post bot it'll have an extra 4-5 spaces between the a's. Nothing major, but it causes problems with long htmls. (I believe it adds a space for continuous strings at every 21 characters.)

croportal 05-21-2007 07:57 PM

uninstall not supported

It adds spaces to keep from blowing out the page.

No reason it should just stop; should keep working normally.

We don't do anything for vBSEO in our product; you could put vbispy.php in your exception list to prevent the redirect.

Chadi 05-22-2007 11:58 PM

I'm getting this error after upgrading vb to 3.6.7 and re-upgrading this hack

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/user/public_html/vaispy.php(337) : eval()'d code on line 1

I would appreciate some help on this.

MPDev 05-23-2007 12:09 AM

Since nothing changed in our code; I would suspect you have a problem in one of your templates - check line 337 of the vbispy.php script to see which one to look at.

Chadi 05-23-2007 09:26 PM

It says

eval('$headinclude = "' . fetch_template('headinclude') . '";');

This is my entire headinclude template:

Code:

Chadi 05-25-2007 01:24 AM

This is very strange. I still get the same exact error even after reverting headerinclude back to default, which is this one.

Code:

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=$stylevar[charset]" />
<meta name="generator" content="vBulletin $vboptions[templateversion]" />
<if condition="$show['threadinfo']">
<meta name="keywords" content="$threadinfo[title], $vboptions[keywords]" />
<meta name="description" content="<if condition="$pagenumber>1"><phrase 1="$pagenumber">$vbphrase[page_x]</phrase>-</if>$threadinfo[title] $foruminfo[title_clean]" />
<else />
    <if condition="$show['foruminfo']">
<meta name="keywords" content="$foruminfo[title_clean], $vboptions[keywords]" />
<meta name="description" content="<if condition="$pagenumber>1"><phrase 1="$pagenumber">$vbphrase[page_x]</phrase>-</if>$foruminfo[description_clean]" />
    <else />
<meta name="keywords" content="$vboptions[keywords]" />
<meta name="description" content="$vboptions[description]" />
    </if>
</if>

<!-- CSS Stylesheet -->
$style[css]
<if condition="is_browser('opera') AND !is_browser('opera', '8.0.1')">
<style type="text/css">
ul, ol { padding-left:20px; }
</style>
</if>
<!-- / CSS Stylesheet -->

<script type="text/javascript">
<!--
var SESSIONURL = "$session[sessionurl_js]";
var IMGDIR_MISC = "$stylevar[imgdir_misc]";
var vb_disable_ajax = parseInt("$vboptions[disable_ajax]", 10);
// -->
</script>

<script type="text/javascript" src="clientscript/vbulletin_global.js?v=$vboptions[simpleversion]"></script>
<if condition="$show['popups']"><script type="text/javascript" src="clientscript/vbulletin_menu.js?v=$vboptions[simpleversion]"></script></if>
<if condition="$vboptions['externalrss']">
<link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="$vboptions[bbtitle] RSS Feed" href="external.php?type=RSS2" />
<if condition="$show['foruminfo'] OR $show['threadinfo']">

Please help me out!

cddw.ltd 05-25-2007 01:26 PM

Loving it!

Fantastic piece of work! didn't much like the statusicons next to the Thread Title text etc, so I removed them, and called my file realtime.php instead (remembering to change the path in the .js file too ;) )

Mine is located here - http://www.est1892.co.uk/forums/realtime.php

Chadi 05-26-2007 05:03 PM

Can someone *please* help me out on this?

dellow 05-26-2007 11:19 PM
