Thanks for this hack.

An option suggest for pro version: possibility to use more than one shoutbox, one for staff and another for users for exemple :)

Same, somehow this inteferes with Photoplog, here's the error I get:

Code:

Warning: Unknown(./infernoshout/engine/inferno_deploy.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /includes/functions.php(4946) : eval()'d code on line 1

Fatal error: (null)(): Failed opening required './infernoshout/engine/inferno_deploy.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/sto/public_html/messageboard/includes/functions.php(4946) : eval()'d code on line 1

for anyone wondering how to turn off new thread/post alerts, go into the plugin manager and disable the "Inferno Shoutbox: User Posted New Thread, and "Inferno Shoutbox: User Replies To Thread" plug ins.

thanks

A fix for you guys with Photoplog problems. Go to the Plugin Manager, and find the plugin entitled "Inferno Shoutbox: Deploy Shoutbox". Change this
Code:

require_once('./infernoshout/engine/inferno_deploy.php');
To this
Code:

require_once(DIR . '/infernoshout/engine/inferno_deploy.php');

any news on when the pro version will become available?

Inferno Tech 05-22-2007 09:15 PM

We're aiming for this week, the VBSEO "bug" held us back. Turned out its just a "feature" of VBSEO that causes it (the html cleanup) but if you put VBSHout before VBSEO in the plugins list, the problem disappears.

Thank you Zero Tolerance, ITech.
Have 3.6.7 PL1. Uninstalled vBHackers ZT vBShout V2.1.
Properly installed [ITech] [AJAX] Inferno vBShout Lite, but...
The Shoutbox activity/refresh thingamabob refreshes frequently, every 5 - 10 seconds. Whew.
Pages/refreshes started to lock up. Even in ACP, had browser lock up trying to, say, come back from vBShout params to the ACP main menu. Had to stop browser (ie), restart w/history cache clear, before I could get back into the ACP.
Users/friends also testing Shoutbox had browser locks since the IVL install. Closing browser, re-opening was the only recourse.
Have now uninstalled. Don't like V2.1 sb dir 777 setting; won't re-install V2.1. Awaiting vBShout, the Professional Version. Truly am. It's a great add-on in vBulletin. Adds a lot to our member's involvement in our forums.
Qs about the vBShout Settings:
Allow Images Why is default Yes? What are the Pros/Cons?
Idle Timeout Just what is "a high number?" 99999?

Inferno Tech 05-22-2007 11:19 PM

well GZE has its timeout set to 2000, which is about 35 minutes, so thats a high number. The shoutbox is AJAX, are you sure you done a fully clean install? We havent heard of anyone else having those problems. If you could try visiting the GZE page (http://forums.gzevolution.net) and letting us know if you have the same problems there, so we can work out if its your browser or your forum thats the problem, that'd be great.
