I finally figured out what my problem was concerning the loss of my ACP Nav links...It seems that when i read the install text, i didnt follow one part of a step...Lemme explain, The install text says,

Code:

in "includes/xml/cpnav_vbulletin.xml" find:
=======================================
</navgroups>

<!-- CVS: $RCSfile: cpnav_vbulletin.xml,v $ - $Revision: 1.16 $ -->

Well simple enough except when i replaced the code, i forgot to also replace
Code:

</navgroups>
I only replaced,
Code:

<!-- CVS: $RCSfile: cpnav_vbulletin.xml,v $ - $Revision: 1.16 $ -->
So needless to say, this was my problem...

However, i have the system installed, works wonderfully, but i am curious, where in the heck does the application go after a member fills it out?

I went into the ACP/vBulletin Options/Moderation Application System and set,
Code:

Please enter the username of the person who will start the threads for rating.
to a specific username, and i set,
Code:

Please enter for the forum id of the forum you want the threads to appear in
to a specific Forum but once a user applies, nothing appears in the designated forum.

Also, when a user applies and clicks submit, it gives an error saying,
Code:

maf_rated cannot be found.
As well as when i delete applications i get the,
Code:

maf_deleted cannot be found.
I looked in the zip folder containing the system i downloaded from here, but i didnt see either of these files. Any help would be greatly appreciated...Thank you for your replies...Be well -

Hi

The cron job is set weekly i think...
You can go into your scheduled tasks and run the MAF manually or set it lower....

Then the application will show up on the thread that you set, well actually it
will only tell you that there is one and you have to goto your admicp or modcp to read it.

Its right at the bottom of ya admincp

You did not specify in your install instructions where to upload the maf_cron.php, but obviously it must be placed in the folder
forums/includes/cron directory. Your install instructions should start with,
Code:

forums/modapp.php
forums/admincp/maf_delmodapp.php
forums/modcp/maf_rateapp.php
forums/includes/cron/maf_cron.php

I overlooked it first time as i was strictly following your install notes and did not upload maf_cron.php into the cron directory. I have uploaded it since that post so no biggie...You may want to edit your install txt and add mention of that file as well because it can be somewhat confusing for some peeps. Its ok to have blonde moments, we all have them, for me is quite often hehehe

Thank you bashy for tipping me about running the cron manually. Doing this does make the thread show in the designated forum. But what do you mean the cron job is set to weekly? It is set to *

=======================================
Title: MAF
Day of the week: *
Day of the month: *
Hour: 12
Minute: 30 - - -
Log Entries: Yes
Filename: ./includes/cron/maf_cron.php
=======================================

Do you mean i should set the Hour lower? or can i change and set the Hour to * and Minute to make it run a cron every x minutes? Thank you for your replies and help...This is a wonderful hack if i can get it tweaked to run the cron on app submit or every x minutes...Be well

I have a small issue with this,once I complete the rating, it shows me the following error !

Quote:

vBulletin Message

Could not find phrase 'maf_rated'.
Can you look into this ? Also take a look at the attachment :surprised:

bashy 02-10-2006 03:38 PM

This has been mentioned many times...
It appears to be non important, its just a phrase missing
Nothing to worry about all does work ok still!!

Yea Bashy,

I just browsed all the 10 pages and the author seems to ignore this, a complete hack is one which does have any errors, but I did search for the phrase in the vb admincp, it does exist but I or we are not sure why it says it does not ?

May be he can help us fix this issue as to why it does so ? :ermm:
