This does not work on my site running 4.10. Plans to fix?

nextstream 01-24-2012 11:06 AM

yeah... i install it in 4.1.10. and can't make it work
does is support 4.1.10?

This is an awesome mod! Thank you! I am running it in 4.1.10 with no observable issues.

I have one question that I know has drawn a lot of ire here, as it has been asked many times. It is about the top height of the block. In the sidebar.css there are many #sidebar_container options to select from (container, hover, etc), and I have tried to change the value of the padding on several of them, but have still not found the exact one to change the top level height of the side bar to lower it.

Which #sidebar_container specifically do I need to change the padding on?

If you are using custom skin ask the skin developer

have you tried to change it from forumhome.css ?

lfreem2 01-24-2012 05:49 PM

Almannai, there is no #sidebar_container in forumhome.css in version 4.1.10. I definitely need to change it in the sidebar.css. I just don't know which to change. There are at least 30 #sidebar_containers in the sidebar.css. As I said, I've tried to change a bunch of them, but none have any effect on lowering the sidebar so that it matches the height of the forum posts.

nextstream, I do not have a custom skin. I have had zero problems using this mod at all with version 4.1.10. Sounds like it's an issue with your custom skin folks. Have you tried removing the custom skin to see if has any effect?

So I did some more tests. First, I went through and disabled every Mod I had manually, and then enabled just Everywhere sidebar and I still had the issue of the Text editor graying out leaving me unable to type a post or or do anything with the text editor. So that eliminated a conflict with a Mod for me...

Next I went and enabled Everywhere sidebar with all of my Mod enabled and check it on a forum default template and there was no gray or whatever color your CKeditor skin is, blocking me from typing.

My templates are customized by me but they're not really too intensive. I've mainly done color changes, used a lot of transparency/alpha css and gradient css to replace those images, that's pretty much all and most of that is done in Additional.css

I didnt change anything template wise prior to updating 4.1.10 except some reverts... any idea what css templates would effect this mod?

You may need to add #sidebar_container to your additional.css template and add your css changes manually. I find that it's generally simpler to go straight to additional.css than monkey around with 50 different templates.

Brandon. If that's the case, I would need the exact html to put in. I am not a developer, so have no idea what I would add. Any idea?

Couldn't the XML of this mod just be changed to address this?

your best bit for testing and finding the problem is by using firefox+firebug to eliminate the problem
