Hi,

I'm using AME 2.5.6 & latest XML (April 10th) in vBulletin 3.8.4 PL2 and YouTube embedding is not working.

Those who have it working can export their definitions for us?

Thanks!

The only thing that needed to be changed in the definition was to remove the Validation Regex. So if your still having a problem after doing that, importing someone else's isn't going to change anything. I presume you've already made these changes?

Does anyone know why this happened, and why re-importing the same data worked? Did the master definitions list change at all? I haven't received any email updates that the mod changed, so I'm not sure what's going on.

The only explanation I can think of is that the XML list here was changed somehow. I don't see how the existing definitions could have been corrupted on the admin side, so I can't think of any other possibility. (I only used stock defs. since the beginning, so it's nothing that I changed.)

The Master XML was changed, actually, Friday before last. When I updated the XML the changes I made to my own definition would have been included. I just forgot all about the fix when I posted it. Again, the only change there was the removal of the Validation Regex. I suspect that people weren't seeing immediate results from editing it themselves due to the cache.

I notice you also have a modification that affects links on your forum. The one that hides them until you have ten posts. Try disabling that to see if it makes any different.

Still having the problem. Any help?

Thanks.

So far all the YouTube links you've sent me are posting on my board. I can only ask that you all verify that you have removed the content in your Validation Regex, as this was the sole reason the definitions stopped working to begin with. Other than that, verify that you are reediting the post after making the changes, and that you've resynched your cache and, of course, that you're not trying to embed a video that has its embedding disabled by the owner.

Once you've verified all those changes and your still not getting anything, I'll need to have a look at your Admin CP to be of any further help.

Thanks for the update, DJ! Much appreciated. Everything seems to be working fine now. (I'm doing this for a friend's forum, and he hasn't sent me any complaints since I got it working again. So far so good. ;))

Even after definitions update... Gametrailers still showing the same mambo/jumbo (before and after the embedded video). I really don't understant... everything else is embedded ok, but gametrailers (both old and new one). And we depend of gametrailers so much...

Installed AME 2.5 and imported DJ's Master XML (Delta).xml for 2.5

YouTube is working (wasent imported since it was alreay there).

All other links parsed as normal urls. I am not sure what I did miss ? Test link: http://www.tg-o.dk/showthread.php?p=160125#post160125

Great mod btw, looking forward to get it up and running :)
