I could but give me sometime. In the meantime, you could disable member rewriting as a "quick fix"

Just a question... .. I am running VBAdvanced and VBGallery... How can I rewrite URLS in those? It seems no urls are rewritten there :)

hehe vBadvanced has proven a tad bit more difficult that I thought. However, I will add funtionality, but in the meantime, you couild use the EXLCUDE script to stop vBA pages from being rewritten incorrectly.

Can you give me the thread link?

Firstly, from my experience, when you first initialize this script, there is an impact on the site whilst the old URL's are being rewritten to the new ones.

If your rewriting every single URL on your site (showpost, printthread, showthread, member.php, etc.), then there certainly will be a load increase.

Since bots don't have access to online.php on your site, there is no need to rewrite the URL's located there (add online.php to the exclude script).

If you want the load to minimal, you could disable some or all 301 redirects.

You shoudln't just enable a script and hope for the best. You must play around with the settings until you are sure you are happy.

I'll leave this post on one note -- i've verified all SQL queries ON A LARGE forum to make sure they are 100% optimized.

Can you try do disable writing of everything except for showthread.php? In fact, disable 301 also.
