On your server, create a writeable directory.
In AdminCP, go to attachments
Change the storage type, choose

Quote:

Move Items from Database to File System
Use root directory for location of file folder.
Do the conversion
Your done.

All of your attachments will not be a part of the db, they will be in a folder. :classic:

I have a request, could someone come up with alittle icon that sits under the user avatar, that when clicked, will take them to that user's garage? Just like the AIM icon or online icon.

Oh....I thought you were refering to the uploaded photo attachments in the Garage hack..... lol :D

Meanwhile, maybe someone could design a small icon that can be used as the image ?

ok silvertstang, i know of that!
but the VBGarage images stay in the database, i want them to be links in the database, and files ont he server.. so when someone uploades it uploads to the server, not the database, follow?

Thumbnails should be stored in the database and the actual photo stored in the server file directory.

I guess I need GD 2.0+ Library to install the VbGarage. What is GD 2.0+ Library and how do I tell if I have it or how do I obtain it.

Is there a way you could make the pictures they post in there non-hotlink able? I dont want to tunr hot linking off on my whole site because i use them but i dont want people uploading thier cars just so they can hotlink them to other sites.
