Remove the code who put in postbit_legacy

I agree, this mod appears to be dead now, with the author not responding for a long time. Major improvements need to be made such as the style layout, the background is white and messed up and there is NO STICKY on how to fix it, and NO THREAD at all.

Someone's gotta get some updates on this mod out. I am also considering uninstalling it.

Scores don't save, and after clicking save score, it takes you to homepage of site. There are a lot of bugs/errors with this mod and no one is responding!

I'm sure you're welcome to update it for us all.

The Author doesn't offer support in this thread, and a number of your questions have already been addressed in the Arcade forum.

I have posted numerous questions in the arcade forum as well... no one appears to be answering.

This may shock you, but we don't all just sit around hoping you're going to ask us a question that we can solve.

I see that you've asked about the whitespace issue. It's been addressed elsewhere. It's a pretty easy fix. Seeing that you're just bouncing thread to thread complaining about problems you're having with mods others have taken the time to code, I'll let you do the right thing and look for the solution on your own like a grown up.

Then don't use it. Simple huh?

Our arcade is also having issues with saving scores in the latest version on 4.0.1, only about a handful of 100 games are actually recording them.

The rest either record the score as "0", don't record it at all, or produce this database error:

I'd appreciate some help with this.

I just installed this and in the interest of getting more people to post in the forum on my site, I was wondering how others have their group permissions setup?

what happened to the ajax script for adding games as favourites without page refresh ?

We have it setup so that only those users who have a paid subscription can use the arcade, and registered users can view it but not play it

FYI, I have the 4.0.1 already and arcade works perfect. Only thing I had to do was bump up the time in my AdminCP that keeps users logged in longer. Some of the games are long and if they didn't check the KEEP ME LOGGED IN when they signed into my site, there scores weren't saved at the end.

Other than that. It's flawless.

And as for the person that asked about group permissions, I have a Paid Premium section which has alot of games in it, plus I also make it so for the free section of my arcade, you have to make X amount of posts per day to be allowed to play X amount of games per day.

Keeps people from just hanging out in the arcade all day. Plus I have a 1 post minimum after registration before you can play any games at all. And in my Welcome Email when they register, I point them to a thread I have that's titled NEWBIES ANNOUNCE YOURSELF for the new people to say hello and where they are from.

I cant save scores in VB 4.0.1 , whats going on?

Once I install the product, it changes the first and second alternating colors, so my shoutbox background changes, any way to change this threw style vars?

Haven't got it installed on vB 4 yet, but have it on 3.8 and set so that members have to make 5 posts a day before they can access it.

When installing it on 4.0.1 I think we're gonna do similar to MortysTW ..

We're a bit more liberal than some of the others who have posted. We let anyone play games who wants to, but only registered users can save scores.

I figured if an unregistered guest likes a game and wants to save his/her score just maybe they will register.

If it's in regards to the index page code edit, its not working, at least for our arcade anyway. Its still not saving scores of about 80% of games - as per my last post.

Members are getting pretty frustrated over it.

Hi, currently installing but I cannot find how to change CHMOD to 0777. How do I do this? (thanks, newb here!)

In your FTP program, right click on an uploaded file and then select "properties". That will open a popup box which controls CHMOD settings. If you type "777" (or 0777) in the text input box (on my FTP program, its labelled "manual") and then save, that's how you CHMOD a file accordingly :)

You can also select multiple files whilst holding down the CTRL button, and set CHMOD for them all in one hit.

Thanks! I actually had to call my hosting provider, as they do not allow you to do what is stated above, I actually had to change permissions a different way. It worked tho, uploaded and installed! What a great addition to my forum! Thank you!

Did you change your 'admincp' directory to something else?

Do a hard refresh (Ctrl + F5) when viewing your admincp. I had the same thing happen when installing and this sorted it for me anyway.

Ive noticed that aswell, however i switched to normal postbit & the layout is better.
