How do i exclude certain forums from showing up in the chat box when a new post or thread is made? For example i don't want post from staff forums to show in the chatbox.

Some of my members are complaining the the chatbox freezes and they need to regresh the page to see the latest chat. They are on a mixed bag of browsers from what i can tell. Any advice please?

Can you set a limit on how many characters different usergroups can place in the chatbox? Of is there a general setting to configure how many characters there can be posten in the chatbox?

I am new at VBulletin, and apologize if this is answered elsewhere in the thread:

"To add to desired template (example FORUMHOME):
1. Add 'index' to THIS_SCRIPT locations (Product options)
2. Add 'FORUMHOME' to template names (Product options)
3. Open 'FORUMHOME' template and put "{vb:raw vsachatbox}" to desired line (for example after '') -> Save"

could someone dumb this down for me? I installed the chat plugin. It is listed in my Vbulletin 4.0.6 Installed Plugins and Products section.

I understand that the instructions above are to somehow tell vBulletin where to display the 'button' to click chat.

I cannot understand that set of instructions no matter how many times I re-read it.

The website is new, and we are working to add content, learn VBulletin and add features, content, forums.

installed an works great on FF an IE...

...getting a weird result on refresh in Chrome and Safari...

..each refresh scrolls to the middle of the chats instead of the bottom/newest chat...

any ideas?

Marked as installed. Anyway we can make a clear all chat button for the admin? I had to delete everything in there and it was 1page at a time was kind of annoying.

Couldn't you have set the autoprune to 1 hour?

I did. But if I go to the archive there is still 7 pages that I have to manually delete.

Problem: I can't see the hour/date at chatbox

It says:

(d-m,h-i) my text blah blah blah

How can I fix this problem?
