Yea the images don't show up for me, where exactly do they go?

I've all ready got a misc folder in the skin files, i tried putting the mgc_cb_evo file in it & nothing... Plus just the images in the skin folder.

How does this Chatbox add-on do on Server CPU?

I have Cyb-Chatbox right now and it gets pretty high on CPU use. We may have 30 people using it at a time.

Was using inferno shoutbox but had a site hacked through it so am switching to this one.

Followed the install instructions for "display problems for some styles" but cannot get it to show.

Has anyone been able to have this in a different location in forumhome? If so could you please let me know how you did it?

I too have followed the instructions and cannot get it to display on any page other than the default pages. I would happily pay for the mod if I can get it 100% working on all pages.

It works fine on the home page just not on any others.

Well after reading this post, I went ahead and purchased, and guess what, exactly the same problem. If you find a solution please let me know too.

guys.....i am still on vB. 3.6.8. PL2 here....tried this version here and later bought and pay $20.00 for the new version.....same all of you...had also this problem and got mad of it....but i did nor give it up just like that...tried so many possible solutions that i think of to solve it myself...now i am very happy and proud to say....coz' it's all workin perfect now to my site....as i said...all issue that i am seeing from each one of you here....same here and i had also headache from all of this issue...but as i said....maybe i'm just lucky enough to find the way to resolved it myself...maybe problems that developer itself can't hardly resolve or even explain it to me? or to anyone else here at the moment...well we can't blame him now.....coz' we all know that he's also trying his best to make this all work perfect to each one of us...

as i said....the new version that i have this moment is really working good to my still Vb 3.6.8 PL2

and if you all askin me now what, how did i resolve all of this issue?....hmmm....

Just did a very simple...

1. Close/turn off the chatbox
2. Delate all Files to my host server cpanel
3. Delete Product.XML, Language to my site Admin Cpanel
4. Now Go Back to your Website Admin Cpanel > Style Manager > Your Main Style or All Styles > Revert All MGC Chatbox Evo Templates....
5. Now Clean Cache to your main browser


Now....take a deep breath have a smoke...relax...and cross your finger...:p

and READ the INSTRUCTIONS PROPERLY...and start for a NEW...CLEAN...and PROPER INSTALL!....i said.... NEW...CLEAN...and PROPER INSTALL!..:mad:

Steps:

1. Upload all Files to their proper places carefully and orderly...
2. Upload Product.XML
3. Upload Language
4. Set All Chat Options Settings properly and orderly
5. Set All User's Pemissions (or to yourself at first for a full test)

to conclude this BLA! BLA! BLA! for you...i might say here now that wish to all of you out there to have a proper and working chatbox now...and enjoy it as much as i enjoy it the proper and working chatbox without any single problem...which anyone of you like me are all dying to have it the way it work and used to be...

Is there a module and a clear info on how to install this chatbox to appear on CMPS please?

I noticed something strange... Not sure if it's been brought up in the last 360 pages or not so I apologize if it has. When you ban a user using the dropdown the ban only lasts till the user logs out and logs back in... I think this only happens with the dropdown... If this is intentional then can you tell me where I could change this? I can code pretty well so just point me in the right direction and I'll take care of it...

:mad:grrrrrrr i test this to my user...and you know what happen next...i can't put her back again...because i can't found the UNBAN the user... on that dropdown thing...i look anywhere and nothing to find....or am i blind...:mad:

all we have to do is use the command:

• /ban off uid userid : Unban the user specified by the userid passed as command parameter.
• /ban off uname userid : Unban the user specified by the username passed as command parameter.
• /ban show : Open a popup window containing the list of users banned from the chatbox with the possibility of unban users simply through buttons in this window.

Look at these pictures:
1)this option to enter into a window for a chat
2)this would be it /ban show

VBDev, I hope you can help me with an issue. This chat box doesn't seem to work properly with the minimize/maximize.. The maximize seems to stretch outside the forums. Example shown below on attachments:

The last image shows a better example, while image 1 shows the chatbox on max, and second image the chat box minimized. All these are taken with the resolution: 1024x768. Because of this issue, it forces everything on the forum to scroll to the right as well.

thanks senadxxx....i knew it...just like i said we dont have any option to unban the banned members but use the command...but if we ban the user...there is a clickable link to the user's dropdown menu (Ban user Pedro)

I have a problem with Evo chatbox 2.4.0 & CMPS 3.2.1 ( vbulletin 3.8.4 ).
When i enable "Display on defined pages of the forum under the navbar" I get constant loading on cmps portal page ?

Any idea how can I solve this ?

I got a problem with it not getting the category backround images on some skins tho...

Anyway to fix that?

hi...you have to upload the mgc_cb_evo image folder file to all skin styles too...

Thanks for your reply but those images are showing up fine, it's the main catorgey backround image for the forums that's not showing up. The image at the top of the shoutbox behind the [Archives] link...

On some skins only, does anyone have a fix for it.

The first post has a link to the CMPS module. I'm using it right now. You will have issues with avatars and other images. I had to fix templates myself, but now it's working (without avatars only). I'll test it under 2.4 when vbdev gets the new version up.

As far as i saw that module is for old Evo Chatbox and its trying to include file that does not exist.

I mean whats the point of option show on custom pages if its not working.

p.s. I hope we are talking about the same module.

how can i get rid of the french wording at the text box? everything is in english except for this box. This box is where you type....the wording is in french.

There is an option in settings, cant remember where.
Just open all vbulletin settings and CTRL+F in your browser searching for that word.

What I'm saying is that I would like to be able to use the GLOBAL permissions (top pic) at the USERGROUP level (lower pic). Then I can have UsergroupA use font and img codes while UsergroupB is limited to Bold, Italic, etc Font codes only. Right now, it's an all or nothing proposition. Global permissions for granular controls don't make sense to me, and would be better served if you could change them at the usergroup level.

When font controls are off, the BBcode editor dropdowns for fonts are still visible, again, shown here, but they do nothing since I have font bbcodes off:

There are no missing words. What I'm saying is clear. There is no way to make the "Active Users" area use the smallfont style, like other area of the chatbox. The area I'm referring to is visible when you choose to view active users below the chat text area. Here's a picture to be clear. My picture shows you how I wanted it, but I had to hack the code to force the smallfont style. Otherwise, the font is 50% larger and looks horrible when the other areas have smallfont styles:

No, that's the problem. I cannot easily style the chat text background and text because you used standard style tags for it. My dark themes put the chat text on dark backgrounds and make the text light, which I don't want. I wanted to be able to keep the chat background and text colors consistent everywhere, no matter what theme is used. This would require a style override, which there isn't an option for, so I had to hack it in.

Obviously, I can hack each update and force it to do my bidding as best as I can, but I'd rather see clean options for these customization issues to speed up the update process and limit user error.

You should put it on the userinfo part of the postbit.

Could somebody please help me, i have installed this mod but although i have it set to show in both forum home and arcade it will only show in forum home, the arcade isnt happening, all the settings have been set correctly but it still wont do it!

I had the same problem, no matter what I tried I could not get it to work on any other pages other than the default set up pages, then I paid for BF version and installed 2.4 version, when I did that all the pages I specified started showing the chatbox, although I had to uninstall 2.4 due to it not working 100% on my site as of yet, the chatbox is still showing on all specified pages. WooHoo! :cool:
