Ok...it looks like my users can login with either their OLD forum accounts or their facebook accounts... is it possible to merge those?

I went through all the instructions (including the optional steps), but I don't see where my users are supposed to link their fb account to their forum account?

Login using fb connect and use your vb username rather than making up a new one. This is another thing that needs to be implemented better, such as adding the fb connect button in the user cp for people who are already logged in to link their accounts.

Use the vb merge user option... That said, I'm only assuming their fb connect info will be merged along with everything else. That's something I never tried.

Using fb connect, you can use your VB name rather than your fb name? Will that attache the facebook account to the vb account somehow?

The first time you log in using fb connect and you have to choose a username you have to put in your vb user name rather than make up a new one. You'll have to then put in your vb password and it'll link your vb and fb accounts. There is no way to unlink in vb (something that should be added) so for anyone who might have made a new vb account with fb connect the only option is to merge the accounts (assuming the fb connect info gets merged too) or delete their new one and have them do the process again with their original vb name.

This error usually means you made a mistake editing your templates. Double check newpost, newreply and SHOWTHREAD. Also go to FB Connection Options -> Settings and save your settings even if you didnt change em.
