I've upgraded to PHP5 a few hiccups & tons of lost work-hours, but I'm back on the track :( altough I'm not fan of upgrading, is a necessary step on the near future p.s. I'm re-paying for upgrade of 2 scripts  |
I've just installed and don't really want to read 89 pages on how to get youtube working. When I add a youtube link and select "Use goldbrick media options", all it does is wrap [url] links around it !?
|
It does *nothing*. Installed it, uploaded goldbrick, includes and players to my forum directory, imported the product, set forum and user permissions properly, and.... nothing.
Each link is just shown as a link. No player, no playing, just a link, nothing else happens. PHP5, MySQL5, vBulletin 3.6.8PL2 Installation instruction are: 1. Upload the contents of the "upload" folder 2. Import the product_goldbrick.xml file 3. Set up Usergroup Permissions 4. Set up Forum Permissions 5. Set up Goldbrick Options 1. Done that (uploaded to "forum" dir) 2. Done that. 3. Done that. 4. Done that. 5. Done that. It should play the media file automatically. Tried it with an MP3, and with an swf file. The swf file plays nicely when I put the URL directly in my browser URL box. |
do you have vbseo installed?
|
Yes, I have. Not the full prod., just the sitemap generator
|
When uninstalling the product, it displays this error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in ...forums\admincp\plugin.php(1497) : eval()'d code on line 1 |

Sometimes it works... Sometimes it don't
This MOD is a bit perplexing. Sometimes it works without a hitch, other times, threads will not display thumbnails or... handle content properly. The latter occurs even if I edit and resave content. Along the same note, why is it that whenever we edit a thread or post, the Goldbrick option is never available? |
Cause its in Beta and I'm adding features as I go. If you find problems PM me a link so I can look at it. It's hard to find bugs on my test site when it usually works as advertised. But I like to see it on live boards for finding the hidden bugs.
