Just my two cents guys. For the people who wanted to use the RSS feeds and embed videos from them this is what I did. I used the RSS feed from MSNBC and ran the feed to my forum. I edited the template to say the fallowing;

[AME] {feed:link} [AME]

I clicked preview and all the video feeds came threw instead of just showing the link. Now I dont recommend hitting preview with all those feeds because my computer nearly blew up trying to embed all those videos at the same time in the preview. I haven’t seen the videos go threw to the forum yet. No more feeds to add right now, but im pretty confident it should work.

Yup, that's what I suggested earlier. It should work, because I had the same problem with [url] codes going though and the same fix worked.

Thank you. I ran through a lot of threads, a few people mentioned similiar problems but still no solution. It might be out there somewhere, just don't have the time right now.

Sounds like you're righ, though

This was the result of the AME tags with the rss feed.

http://www.the-amt.com/upload/showthread.php?t=259

There is one little problem. I get these lil url tags showing up around the video. Not really a problem just anoying. I did disable the option that says Convert HTML to BB Code but i dont think that has to do with any thing.

I was going to leave the description their so i can use that as an archive for CMS on my home page.

Tell me something. Is the code written just like you show in the post above?

[AME] {feed:link} [AME]

With the spaces on either side of {feed:link}? If that's the case, I notice the same spaces in the source code. Try removing those spaces on the next attempt and see if the URL tags fail to parse again.

[AME]{feed:link}[AME]

Ok ill give it a try. Also my tags actualy are "[AME] {feed:link} [/AME]" kind of important lol.

Your a genious. Works perfectly. Only wish I could get more news sites .

Thanks for the help.

One of these days they'll catch on that MSNBC has the lead in that department. Until then, I'll keep an eye on them. I work with CNN, MSNBC, CBS and Fixed---er Fox News online videos playing in the background most days. So if they change it, I'll catch it.

Wasn't able to find it, anyone?

It's already compatable with 3.7.1, so I don't think .2 would be that much different.

You should release it on the 3.7 mod board so that people know that this works on 3.7 and so that people know this mod exists who use 3.7. Most 3.7 users will only search the 3.7 mod board for addons.
