the hack works lovely, but the "todaymaxonline" will be resetted day by day.... i dropped the todaymaxonline in my datastore, but the first time a user(or me) makes a refresh on the main page(so the who was online is called by index.php) the todaymaxonline in datastore is updated(or created again if before i dropped it)... i know is right that the datastore must be updated anytime someone call the index.php, but damn! it should register the max online record and the date of it!

if i drop the todaymaxonline into datastore and i run the hack query i will get back this error

I'm still looking for an answer to this question. Other than the numbers discrepancy, the Mod works great!

INSERT INTO datastore (title, data) VALUES ('todaymaxonline', 'a:2:{s:14:\"todaymaxonline\";i:1;s:18:\"todaymaxo nlinedate\";i:1070000000;}')

What do i do for that? Where's datastore????

Marco van Herwaarden 03-12-2005 05:05 AM

datastore is a table in the database.

What you want to do with this?

RapCapital 03-12-2005 06:52 PM

It says to insert that into datastore? Where can i find datastore? (Sorry i'm new at VB just purchased it) :pirate:

Marco van Herwaarden 03-12-2005 07:01 PM

[sql]INSERT INTO datastore (title, data) VALUES ('todaymaxonline', 'a:2:{s:14:\"todaymaxonline\";i:1;s:18:\"todaymaxo nlinedate\";i:1070000000;}')
[/sql]Is just a query you have to run. If you want to know how to run a query, click on the link "How to run a query" above the upper statement.

I tried to install this on 3.0.7 and its not working, no users show up with users online. What am I missing?

Ghostsuit 03-14-2005 01:52 PM

Hmm I have it working on 3.0.7 but it resets at midnight. I just worked throught the instructions, I'm guessing you missed something. I'm just stumped on why it's always resetting.

WhiteOx2 03-14-2005 07:03 PM

It's supposed to reset at midnight that's when the day ends and the new one begins, after all it's not a 'Who Was Online Last Week' hack. :D

It works fine with 3.0.7 you must have done something wrong.

firas 03-15-2005 07:53 AM

thanx>>>>

FreeFall0 03-15-2005 07:17 PM

Is there a modification to this and have only the admin to be able to see it? Or make it so users names are not links?
Thanks :)

not sql

Oblivion Knight 04-07-2005 05:22 PM

I'm not entirely sure how this is worked out, but I assume it's kinda screwy because I've only installed it today?

Notice in the screenshot, it states that there have been 28 members online today, but the record says that the most members ever online in a day was 36 - set Today.

Is it possible to change this so tha you can get a rolling 24 hours rather than just a day by day analysis?

|Jordan| 05-04-2005 02:35 PM

Username HTML Markup does not display in this hack (specifically for usergroups). How can you make it display?

I am new. Please advise how to do this step in your instructions. Thank you for your help.

Marco van Herwaarden 05-15-2005 01:21 PM

You can run it with a tool like phpMyAdmin if that is installed on your server, or you can run it from the SQL tool in your AdminCP.

mstolp 05-16-2005 12:17 AM

I do not understand the 24 hour period which is reported? Based on GMT? Based on member's time zone or other?

It is Mountain Tiime here, and the counter reset at ~5p which is about 24 hours since I installed it?

Abaweet69 05-22-2005 05:44 AM

I'm not really getting this. I believe i did everything. I dont understand the SQL query you gave me. What installer.php file are you talking about? I tried running the SQL but it said there is no such table.

Does it need to run for 24 horus to start getting the stats?

After moving servers, the reset time for this hack I have been using for months is now messed up. It seems to reset itself at about 7-8:00pm CST instead of midnight. Any ideas on how to fix this?

No, it isn't - due to the internal changes I don't think any 3.0.x hacks will work on 3.5.

JoyB 08-28-2005 09:59 PM

Okay, thanks for letting me know :)

Do you think they might release one that is compatibale with 3.5 in the near furture?

Xtrato 10-01-2005 09:15 PM

any news on a 3.5 RC2 version??

You didn't try very hard then. Search for "members visited today" ;)

I upgraded to 3.0.10 from 3.0.5 and installed this hack again, and now it shows the hack twice on the forum display. What do I need to fix this?
