Where are you trying to import that? Cannot confirm such an error.

I have uploaded all the files but I am unable to import the main product "product_vbexperience400.xml". It is showing a blank white page whenever i upload the XML of the main product from my computer.

I am currently running what I think is the last beta version (vBExperience400Beta3_20100628.zip). I see that I would lose my custom awards & achievements if I were updating from vB 3.8 but will I lose them by going to the Gold version from my current version? If so, is there any way to save them and then reimport?

Currently the GOLD version has been downloaded over 116 times, and noone has this error. I cannot confirm that on my boards. I think it's a problem with your forum.

Did you had the Betas/RCs also installed?


You can already select via settings a predefined place in postbit, like:
postbit_userinfo_left (below rank, default)
postbit_userinfo_right_after_posts (below postcount)
postbit_userinfo_right (below reputation)
postbit_signature_start (before signature)
postbit_signature_end (after signature)
postbit_messagearea_start

By installing a new version no awards/achievements gets lost. You would need to clear and re-create them. So no worry, you will not lose them.
BTW, the last Beta was Beta 4 and after that a release candidate.

I see the points in the postbit_legacy template, but not the level.

On the screenshot there are points and level available. So what does not work?
The other things are style issues that you will have to do. You can change the style in the templates xperience_level_postbit and xperience_points_postbit

On version for vB v3.8 I move it in middle of postbit (I do not use legacy). Only solution for me is "postbit_userinfo_right_after_posts (below postcount)" but without explanation (only bars) because it is mess up with default data (posts, location...).
Other options make my postbit too long.

There are just icons, nothing more, nothing less. Promotions have nothing to do with icons.
You can create new awards and achievements and use that new icons for them.

Hmm I wonder why I not got the Arm of Law Award. I got 16 points for that.

Do you have other awards? Is the limit personally for you reached? Check setting "Limit Awards".

I dont have any award at all, just achievements. And I am the only one in my forum that could have the arm of law award and the calendar award.

I think I found the solution. For some reason the user group administrators is disabled to have awards so I enabled it.

Edit: Now I got the posting award. Another member is already having that. Should I not have the arm of law award instead?

Yes, this is by default. Usergroup#6 (Administrators) are excluded from awards. There are several boards where the admins/staff would gather all available awards.

If you are getting another award than you are the best in that category, too. The system decides depending of the category and display order.

Yes. I see now that when I enable up to 5 awards each I see the arm of law award, but if I have 3 I dont see it. So it must be related to the display order.

You can see who will get an award in first place by clicking on "Test" in AdminCP, Experience, Manage Awards

I seem to have a problem with post counts being doubled.

For example, I've got 506 posts but it's somehow thinking I have 1012, bit of a nightmare with "You've made xx posts" achievements and such.

OK I saw where someone else had this problem but after reading through 34 pages didn't see where it was "talked" about.

That is because you have MySQL 4.1 installed. "Order by" with "Group by" is a no-go. I'm already working on a version that is compatible to that very old MySQL.

I installed this mod on July 10th, and all Awards were given out at that time. Even though the scheduled task for Experience Awards is set to run at 2:30am every day, the Awards have not changed at all.

I just clicked on "Run Now" for Experience Awards task, and nothing changed.

If this was working, and just the same people are getting the same awards, I would expect the date & time to reflect each day... instead, it still says July 10th.

Why aren't the Awards working?

This not an error related to vBulletin 4.0.5. It seems you installed an old version or didn't upgraded the v3Arcade Plugin. Please uninstall the vBExperience v3Arcade Plugin and install the version that is delivered with the GOLD version again.

Please click "Mark as Installed".
This is relevant to vBExperience 3.8, not vBExperience 4.0 - vBulletin 4.0 hasn't such a menue anymore.


What exactly is not working? The awards are assigned to users beeing the best/first. This must not change everyday, if the users don't loste/gather new points that would change the ranking.

I'm running version vBulletin 4.0.2 and it seems the achievements are bugged somehow. I cleared all of the logs/achievements from the users because some users had achievements they shouldn't. Like the one i have right now is 10 Friends which is set to Friends field is > 9 you get the achievement. But, people with 3 friends had it. Now that i cleared everything, i clicked recount/update achievements and it doesn't do anything.... no one has the achievement but i know for a fact many have more then 10 friends including me... any idea whats up with it? Awards seem to be working fine from what I can tell and no other issues at this moment.
