Change your column listing settings, and use custom subforum_new/old-48.png images.

Fivestones 11-10-2012 02:17 AM

flirtsnfriends 12-21-2012 12:37 AM

I've read through this entire forum and please forgive me if this question has already been answered. I tried a few answers and had no luck.

How do you change the color of the subforums to be red instead of default? Thanks in advance.

danycutu1 02-04-2013 04:22 AM

is there any way to change to alignment of the subforums from
subforum 1 subforum 2
subforum 3 subforum 4

to

subforum 1 subforum 3
subforum 2 subforum 4

Thank you in advance

insidegames 02-07-2013 10:34 AM

No, you must sort them yourself.

Amaury 02-08-2013 03:46 AM

Installed.

Question: what do the numbers in the parentheses mean?

EDIT: Figured it out.

Thanks,

Add this in CSS2:

Code:

min-width:XXXpx;
Replaces XXX with the minimum width you would like for your columns. You can also add max-width:. Having both settings the same will keep all of your columns a fixed width.

ar15dcm 02-28-2013 11:35 PM

I'm a bit of a noob where is that file?

bzcomputers 03-01-2013 12:50 AM

It's not a file, it's a setting within the product options.

Goto: Settings - Options - VSA Sub Forum Manager

ar15dcm 03-01-2013 01:16 AM

ah okay thank you!

K4GAP 03-04-2013 04:12 PM

In the image provided you can see that the top row of sub listings are crunched up to the main category text. Where can I adjust to lower the sub-forums top row?

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2013/03/28.jpg

This was a problem with that particular style, NOT this mod.

K4GAP 03-10-2013 11:26 PM

I wanted to have my category status icon match the height of the sub listings so ...

http://www.livinginkentucky.com/file...tatusicons.jpg

I just added approx 50 px to the bottom of the standard size (48x48) to match my sub listings. Try it, it's easy.

Love this mod. Thanks for your work producing it.

Exelent very nice thanks!

No. That would take quite a bit of custom coding.

Not easily. You'd have to modify the code quite a bit. It currently doesn't count the number of subforums which it would need to do in order to create equally sized columns if doing it vertically. Doing it horizontally like it currently does this wasn't a necessity.

Mysterious Ride 05-11-2013 10:49 PM

Hello,

This is a great, but I was wondering if there's a way to make the a dropdown menu instead. I have a found that has 26 subforums and that's way to many to list.

ar15dcm 05-14-2013 05:48 AM

Hello,

I recently added a bunch of new forums and external links etc.. So I added the forum ID's to the Disable in Forums... but they still show up.

I am running 4.2.0 PL3

Any ideas?

Did you clear your cache?

ar15dcm 05-14-2013 06:56 PM

Yes.

bzcomputers 05-14-2013 07:14 PM

The setting in this mod you are referring to "Disable In Forums" means to not put into columns and to show the forum and it's subforums as vB normally does. It has nothing to do with the actual hiding of a forum.

If you are looking to hide a forum or forums that setting is in the Forum Manager. In Forum Manager select the forum and set "Forum Is Active" to No.

ar15dcm 05-14-2013 07:18 PM

What I was trying to do is only hide the sub forum display on selected forums because of the number of sub forums. Yet display it for the ones I want it to display.

I see what you are trying to do, but unfortunately neither this mod nor vB will do that. There may be another mod out there, but I'm not familiar with one.

The setting in vB is under Options - Forum Listings Display Options - Depth of Forums - Forum Home. The vB option is a single setting universal to all forums. What you are looking for is a per forum setting for "depth".

tommythejoat 06-03-2013 07:40 PM

Setting display order to 0 will suppress display of a forum. You will then need a link to reach it.

Is there a way of "separate" the columns?
It looks really messy on my forum with some long subforum names...

You need to add some custom code in the options under "CSS 2 - Cells". Setting a min-width will work or setting a min-width and max-width will give you fixed width columns.

Example of what to add in "CSS 2 - Cells":
Code:

min-width:250px;max-width:250px;

MaLTRaiN 07-10-2013 04:50 PM

Thanks!!! Worked great!!!

Bob_R 07-25-2013 05:18 PM
