The ticketview problem was solved in a previous release, I wonder if the upgrade hasnt worked correctly, could you please download the latest package, uninstall the product and then install as new and overwrite all files.

See if this corrects your problem.

Thanks very much, Paul.

Thanks for reply and help!
i do what you say and now is ok..no database errors but on bottom of page is still rc1 ver.!

regards and thanks

macc

Jase2 05-23-2008 05:13 PM

If it is still showing (Powered By HelpCenter Version 1.0 Release Candidate 1) -- then please use this PRODUCT. I think Paul forgot to update it here @ vbulletin.org

macc 05-23-2008 05:17 PM

Thanks .. i just install addons - help center statistics and that fixed problem !

regards and thanks again

Jase2 05-23-2008 05:20 PM

The PRODUCT above is the default product and will fix your problem with the version number. ;)

Please note: We do not officially provide support for modified code. (Only hacks released by us are supported, in which case you need to be a PS Supporter.) :)

macc 05-23-2008 05:32 PM

Thanks - done with product above !

I just installed this product and begin looking through it. Looks great but I have a lot of requests / features I'll post on the other site :D Nice work!

VargTimmen 05-24-2008 06:30 PM

With this Mod I can't edit my usergroup preferences. What's the problem?
Everytime I got a database error.

Jase2 05-24-2008 06:35 PM

Did you have a previous installation? Uninstall your current product, then install a new, updated one. DO NOT overwrite. If that doesn't work, post the database error.

VargTimmen 05-24-2008 07:04 PM

Mea culpa!
The db errors were caused by another Mod. This one here workes out fine. Great job and thank you big time :)

Jase2 05-24-2008 07:47 PM

Thanks for letting us know. :)

Tettinntil 05-26-2008 06:17 AM

I only get this error when I try to edit usergroups

If you had a previous install, please could you uninstall before trying to install the new updated, product file.

Tettinntil 05-26-2008 09:58 AM

I haven't installed it before. And I've uninstalled and tried to install again several times.

SpeedyHire 05-26-2008 10:05 AM

The hack looks good, only 1 think i dont like and maybe i just not installed it right. When you open a ticket is opens a new thread great, but when you close a ticket it dont close the thread:(:(

dancue 05-26-2008 03:35 PM

Paul or Jase,
I just upgraded to gold and was wondering if the settings were automatically saved from one version to another?

I looked at my settings and they looked like they had been kept the same, but I just want to make sure that I did install it correctly.

Thanks.

---edit---
After looking at the above post about uninstalling before upgrading I realized that I did not do that.
I have not gotten an error thus far, and I can see that the branding is now saying 1.0 gold. Should I still uninstall and then reinstall?

Thanks.

Jase2 05-26-2008 03:49 PM

It should just say: (Powered By HelpCenter Version 1.0)

However, I don't think Paul updated the product file. So, I have posted the product in post #482. There is no need to uninstall then re-install - you can just overwrite, providing you get no errors.

dancue 05-26-2008 03:56 PM

(Powered By HelpCenter Version 1.0 Gold!)

that is what it says on mine. Did I do something wrong?

dancue 05-26-2008 03:59 PM

I think it's Hasann's mod that is changing it to add "Gold!" in there.

Jase2 05-26-2008 06:28 PM

Ah, yes it must be that. Hassan will need to change it.

Tettinntil 05-26-2008 06:47 PM

I'm sorry. It wasn't this mod that caused my error.

Jase2 05-26-2008 10:39 PM

Thanks for letting us know! :)

Killraven 05-27-2008 06:11 PM

I love this mod, however could we somehow have it pm ticket owners any new changes to the ticket? OR add a notification like a new PM or something similar? This would be great, thanks.

Jase2 05-27-2008 06:38 PM

That will be included in the paid version.

Any estimated time when paid version released?

Would be good if all Kayako features can be applied, price is no problem.

choccyclaire 05-28-2008 04:52 PM

I'm having major css issues. Where in what files are you pulling off what css options?
I've determined that it's grabbing my table border background which is black, but making it a large thick line which I don't like. How I can edit your layout?

bada_bing 05-28-2008 06:34 PM

Installed but wanted to request some feature of the next release.

When member A posts a open ticket then the member or member group who has rights to close the ticket should have other options except for just close, example of other feature would be like In Review, Declined, Approved with option to close ticket once appoved, when the approver changes the status of this ticket then the original poster of the ticket should get an email and or PM with the new ticket status so that way he can be in the loop of what the ticket status is.

45thidOWNER 05-28-2008 09:15 PM

I'm not a great poster here as I spend most time just reading but I had to post and say this...

One word... AMAZING

This mod is something short of absolute brilliance

Thanks

PaulSonny 05-29-2008 09:07 PM

I have updated the download, it will fix the issue with the Standard Editor, it has improved functionality for both Editors and it also fixes the version error issue.

Any feature requests, comments, etc please make them known as PaulSonny.com.

Thanks, Paul.

To my knowledge, we are using the default vB CSS.

Can you provide a link to your site or some screenshots of the problem areas.

Terrie 05-30-2008 02:49 AM

I downloaded and upgraded to the most current package a little bit
ago, i made sure i allowed overwrite and my version is still saying
Powered By HelpCenter Version 1.0 Release Candidate 1

CloneVince 05-30-2008 04:14 AM

I have updated HelpCenter today, but when anyone post a new ticket or add a reply, I have a blank page, but the the ticket or the reply is added.

Perhaps a bug ?

I have checked the templates and a few things are not calling the default vBulletin CSS, a custom template I had a while ago but no longer have, because I use the default vBulletin style on my site it hasnt made too much difference.

I will go through each template and revert to default vBulletin CSS values.

Do you have original templates or have you edited them, if you have edited them then this is why, you may/will have to revert.

I have not seen this previously and I have tested and it works on my installation. Is it just a blank white page and you get re-directed, or do you get a blank white page and just stay there? Just this will help me narrow it down.

Thanks, Paul.

TheSupportForum 05-30-2008 04:01 PM

this new verison is still reporting as 1.oo but updated version says 1.0.1 ? on version checker 1.64

It is just a blank white page and no redirect :(

I hope that can help you :D

Try to help someone out and they kick you in the ass. Oh well, I tried.

ZomgStuff 05-31-2008 11:46 PM

Do admins get an email/PM when a new ticket is created?

So, I made the necessary changes, and being the generous guy I am (heh), here's the addon.

The addon will only work with the current version of helpcenter, because it actually requires the helpcenter.php file to be replaced. Code is commented as well as could be expected.

Nice hack! We were thinking of including it in the lite version, however, the lite version was only ever made to show the "main" functions of HelpCenter. Also, in the foreseeable future, we are looking at adding hooks ect.

Note: We cannot support nor be held responsible for problems that may arise when installing hacks. You will need to ask the hack author. :)

Thank you very much!

scan-pa 06-03-2008 02:11 AM

How can I add reCaptcha to all guest / unreged users to access helpcenter when they submit a ticket?

I had over 150+ spam help tickets this morning by unreged / guest Users.

Thanks,
