Hey I do not want my users beeing able to see Admin, Mod & Smod Credits.

How do I realize that?

If you change the usergroup option to allow post awards, that usergroup can award positive and negative out of thin air. I'm not sure if a secondary option to allow negative awards should be there either...

This is true, I will include a usergroup lock option for this, as well as a quick way to set the group to 0 :D

Check vbcredits global settings in vb admin options :D

Or go to your user groups and select the user group you want to edit. At the bottom in each user group you can change the points.

Also does this include when someone can use their credits/points to buy something from off the site?

No you do not have to disable the reputation system, it works alongside it.
vBCredits does NOT come with anything to spend points on, but it can be used with many third party scripts, or with some specialty systems I am still putting together. Look in the first post for a nonexhuastive list of compatible third party scripts.

This mod is great, but I having problems with the correct amount of credits being earned. I'm running VBulletin 3.6.7. I have set the usergroups to receive similar credit earnings that are very conservative (no credits for amount of text, 1 credit for each post, 3 credits for a new thread, etc.) However, when somebody creates a new thread and a couple posts, they end up with around 60 credits. Any ideas?

There was a couple math bugs which were corrected shortly after the main release which screwed up the posting counts. If you did not redownload and reimport the product about 4 days ago or sooner, you might still have the old version. Do that now and see if it still happens. Also, reupload the admincp file and run the credit updater to recalculate the points. If they are the same as they are now, you probably are neglecting some credit settings.

You could use this as a "purchase" system with my username request hack and my upcoming username change hack...

Okay, I don't mean to sound like a ditz, maybe I'm missing this. I thought I read this is suppose to have like a shop, gifts, user end things (paying for username change, titles, colors, etc.). Is this in this mod, or will be? Or will be a total separate mod all together? I thought this was going to be something like VB Plaza as a whole?

I believe there will be a shop mod called vBCommerce or something to that effect, and he's doing some additions to the current mod as well.

:) The current plan is to have 3 main hacks to allow maximum flexibility for what you want to achieve on your forums. Rest assured, with all 3 you will be far ahead of where you were with vbplaza.

I'm testing vbcredits on a testforum and since I upgraded the testforum to 3.6.8, I've received via email the following message a couple of times. Vbcredits itself seem to be running fine. Since the word 'credits' is mentioned a couple of times, I'm posting this here.

Is there a conflict between my 3.6.8 testforum and vbcredits or is it something else?

Download a new copy of the zip and reapply the files and import the product again. Specifically you need the new version of credits_time.php, but if you dont have the new version of that you are also missing a bunch of other upgrades. It wont affect your credit totals. You will also want to run the scheduled task for Time Based Credit Awards in your admin cp, since you have no doubt missed several days worth.

Done that. I hope it's fixed :)

I am using I bank, is it compatible? also, where it says "Manage Credits" it redirects me to the board index...how do you transfer money to someone?...visit animeblab...and see what I mean, I cannot use the features, it only adds credits...http://www.animeblab.com/

You appear to have some sort of htaccess redirect going on. Are you sure you dont have some sort of list that checks if the url is "allowed"? (in this case, the non vb native credits.php file)

Also, it should be compatible with a banking system if it allows custom points table/fields, in which case the values for that are in the top post. I know IBank is compatible in this way (set the money row to credits)

Do this for me bested: download the zip again, and reupload the files, and reimport the product. Then go to update counters and run the update script for all of the usergroups and settings. If there are still large values, you missed configuring a couple settings. If you still have the problem with forwarding to your index, I dont know whats going on, but if you talk to me via IM I can look at your settings and help you arrive at whats going on.

We are using v3 on our site, so you can check it out in action while youre there. We will be configuring the costs and jackpots in a few hours though. Depends on if your site is on localhost or if you upload your files to your webserver through ftp. WS FTP Pro is a good ftp client for uploading your files. I'm sure members can recommend other tools as well :D You can also contact who ever is hosting your website for help on uploading files to your forum root if you don't know how.

Im curious as to how you got your forum set up then. >_0

Anyways, I recommend SmartFTP or AceFTP, those have been pretty good to me.
Back on topic: I installed on a test site and it runs perfectly. I have yet to get any errors, can't wait for the next update.
