My understanding is that the first poll option limits the placement to the navbar region. I do not wish for any shout/chat box application to be featured at the top of the page. I want to place the box at the bottom of the vbAdvanced portal page and the bottom of the forum page (as well as a fully functional dedicated page). If I am limited to the first option, I will likely use a different mod. That would be tragic, as this is the best application for the task.

Anyway, this will apply only to new pages. I mean not forumhome, nor forumdisplay nor showthread. Regarding the fully dedicated page it would still be there.

And for vbAdvanced, I rather plan to make an addon for my chatbox which would allow to place the chatbox in the middle or on the side as both wouldn't require the same graphical design.

Why I am asking that pool is because the second option would require quite a lot of templates modifications as you would need to edit many templates to add a single line of code. This is not the easiest way for installation but the easiest one for own customization.

I'll see what users would prefer and will adapt the way I have actually made it in the current version under development :)

As the progression is going well, I think I'll maybe release the new version at the end of the weekend and then will fastly work out the vbadvanced addon (if the chatbox is in a global var, you will be able to temporarly use the on all page functionnality for that purpose).

I chose the var so we can put it wherever we want... it adds a little extra work for the end user, but it is the most customizable option.

Yes this is what I think but I am not sure every user wants that ;)

Yes I agree with you but lots of people like the chatboxes to be shown everywhere, though it increase the number of queries made to the sql server !

There seems to be missing parts in your error but I think this is because you didn't upload both products.

I've been using I-Tech shoutbox, and what I really like about it is that it show, las replied posts inside the shoutbox, that's a really good feature, as users post more often.

I'll like to try your shoutbox as it seems more rich featured, but I'm missing that particular option

I know, that's an interesting feature, however it is greedy in resources so I might not do that.

I'll see after this version, for the moment I focus on it and then will be opened to any fair suggestions :)

I'm not sure what happened, but I keep getting these random spaces for whatever I type in the chatbox. I completely reinstalled it from scratch, and have no template edits with it. It just started today. Any ideas on what this might be?

the team channel link do not work on firefox and also /me command is odd... since the text will be displayed on the right side

Which version of firefox do you use ?
Is this problem is also in IE ? (if this is the case, have you uploaded the chatbox images in all your skins folders ?)
Have you choosed to show the chatbox in double channels mode ?

You are the second user to report such problem but I have never been able to experienced that myself, would it be possible for you to find a way to see the source html ? (not the one after page loading availabe through right clicks in the browser as unfortunately chat content is loaded afterwards so don't know it that's really possible).

i just notice that it doesnt matter having time or without it.. if you have long username and use /me command the msg will be left right! and those who has short name will have a huge space btw their name and the msg

I have had a look at your html, it seems like you didn't have the team access rights with this user as this is the only condition why you shouldn't see them.

The /del command has parameters, this is why you got this error.

Have a look at the help in the chatbox, this will show you what is the correct syntax for this command :)

Everything installed successfully but i can't view the shoutbox without setting permissions and this error comes up when i try to set permissions.

You have installed both 2 products after having uploaded the files on your ftp ?

I plan to release it this weekend but it'll maybe not contain all feature, especially the whosonline thing as I don't want to add a query in a session table for the chatbox as inferno shout.

So I have to think on a way to use the vbulletin online session thing but not sure how to do it for the moment.

I'd also like to see the vbAdvanced mod. THanks for the nice hack. I'll install it and check it out as soon as the vba stuff is added.

Which guids me to the next prob: The help button at the chatbox has gone after the update.

The only thing that could avoid it to be seen is the usergroup rights that were moved from vbulletin options to usergroups permissions as stated in the modification thread.

This is also a reason why the command is not working ;)

I figured out what my problem was. Somehow I turned on the word spacing too low in the vB Options.

Did you uploaded ALL the files AND installed the TWO xml-produkts (product-mgc_chatbox.xml AND product-mgc_bitfield_custom.xml)?

hey uploading the xml fixed the issue but rite now the buttons dn't show for the shoutbox the links aren't highlighted for Bbcode Smilies Help
