Again, i apologize for my misunderstanding, i didn't read back, i just saw that one comment and it kind of caught me off gaurd..

No problems, it's cool :)

As for the 3.6 it might be best leaving it until Zach releases the rewrite he is working on although creating a new thread in 3.6 might be a good stop gap..

Anyone have an idea of how I can make a vBadvanced CMPS module for this that would show the top 5 timeslips (username - vehicle - 1/4 mile time)?

I'm running vba CMPS v2.2.0 and vB v3.6.4

That's what i think too......the old version use's profilefields and the new use's userfields, so if people download both hacks', they get stuck together......

I tried reinstalling and it will not add anything to the database :(

Follow this to remove the plug in:

You can include it or not I don't think it makes a big difference. I left it out on mine and it works fine.

I have the vb 3.0 version on my site. What do I need to do to upgrade to the 3.6 version?

You'd have to ask Zachery .. I know he is fairly busy with life and work tho :)

deathemperor, might be a good idea to change the version numbers as you update it so ppl don't get confused ;)

deathemperor 12-12-2006 11:10 AM

You must first upgrade this to vb3.5 first, then upgrade to vb3.6.

zincpony 12-16-2006 11:06 PM

any news yet??

joeychgo 12-22-2006 06:04 AM

One suggestion --- dont ever put your email address as a link on a hack... You'll end up getting TONS of spam email form bots that look for email addresses.

The hack seems to work.. But I lost all my old timeslip data and had to uninstall the original version to get it to work.

BlueBulletRL 12-23-2006 02:46 PM

I'm trying to upgrade my existing install of TimeSlips but its not working this is what I get when I try to upload the 1.2XML file

Database error in vBulletin 3.6.4:

Can someone please help me. I'm curious do I have to uninstall the product and then reinstall if so can I save all the data I already have. I dont not wanna have my users have to re-enter the timeslip db cause they might get a little mad.

hotwheels 12-23-2006 02:52 PM

bluebullet........basically what that error is telling you, that in your mysql, you have field's there (#50), etc........these are now in your userfield, therefore you have duplicates.......not sure on the new 3.6.4 upgrade, but you will probably have to delete the "title" and "description" from your profilefield, since they are now located in the userfield......

Silver_2000_)! 12-23-2006 05:21 PM

I tried installing on a fresh board and it doesnt work
Im done with this ... its too bad
I had it working a few versions back
Doug

BlueBulletRL 12-23-2006 07:41 PM

So I have to delete title and description from my profilefield how am I supposed to save the data or move it I guess

hotwheels 12-23-2006 08:35 PM

That i am not sure of............with the new set up, i haven't looked at any of the coding at all..

tbroush 12-26-2006 04:01 PM

OK I have read thru many post and I'm bit confused, I was running VB 3.5.4 with the timeslips and just upgraded to vb3.6.4, so what do I need to do to upgrade to vb3.6 1.2? Just upload the timeslips.php and re import the xml file in the zip file?

deathemperor 12-26-2006 11:51 PM

use Timeslip 3.6 v1.2.zip to upgrage from vb3.5 to vb3.6 any version.

zincpony 12-27-2006 03:06 AM

soo nothing on the actual 3.6 release yet? and not just version 1.2

deathemperor 12-27-2006 03:40 AM

Timeslip 3.5 v1.1.4.zip is for Vbulletin 3.5

Timeslip 3.6 v1.2.zip is for Vbulletin 3.6

the zip iteself also states which timeslip is for which vbulletin.

So yes, there is a release for 3.6.

my65bug 12-27-2006 04:43 AM

I installed it, and a little screwing around got it to work. Problem is now when you enter in any information into the usercp edit vehicle area it will not save it.

shepdogg 12-27-2006 04:24 PM

i get this if i click time slips on the nav bar

Database error in vBulletin 3.6.4:

and if i try Edit Vehicle Profile i get this

you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

help please

thanks

I've also just installed this on a fresh board (installed Timeslip 3.6 v 1.2) and everything went smooth, you can see the product installed, templates are done properly, but yet nothing appears in the user cp or the nav bar. Any ideas on where to look next?

tbroush 12-27-2006 08:21 PM

I try to do the upgrade and it did not work so I uninstalled everything including stuff in the database, and it finally worked.

Guess 12-30-2006 05:47 AM

I am having an issue.

Running 3.6.3, and did all of the modifications, timeslips.php is showing up just fine, however when I go into the profile, I can not click on the link to edit the timeslips, as there is just a gap for a link, without the wording.

Any ideas?

wottech 12-30-2006 01:16 PM

Goto USERCP_SHELL template and find the following code:

Code:

        <td class="$navclass[profile]" nowrap="nowrap"><a class="smallfont" href="profile.php?$session[sessionurl]do=editprofile">$vbphrase[edit_profile]</a></td>
</tr>

Below it, make sure it shows the following:

Code:

<tr>
        <td class="$navclass[vehicleprofile]" style="white-space:nowrap"><a class="smallfont" href="profile.php?$session[sessionurl]do=edittimeslip">$vbphrase[edit_timeslip]</a></td>
</tr>

That should fix it...

This actually did fix it on a fresh board install. So, since the test board worked, I tried to intall it again from the beginning on the active board.

I go this error upon the first step, importing the product itself.

It looks like you had already tried install the DB changes once, causing entry 50 to already be there. If you can, access your DB via phpMyAdmin (or similar) and manually get rid of those entries, then try again. Or at least look to see what entries are currently there....

RoyMan 01-03-2007 09:38 PM

hey bluebullet, you had pretty much the same issue as me. i used this guys file he modded and it worked perfectly. he has the horsepower in euro form tho so u will have the open the file and change it to WHP (its on line 355).

zincpony 01-05-2007 04:59 AM

anyway to add a secondary image submission just like the time slip but i want it for a Dyno sheet. how can i do that??

Sal Collaziano 01-13-2007 07:01 AM

My Cadillac Timeslips page isn't extending all the way to the right. It sort of cuts off a little past midway on my screen. I suppose it'll look different depending on your resolution..

Does anyone know what could have gone wrong?

Thanks...

deathemperor 01-13-2007 01:03 PM

I can't really tell what's wrong since my resolution is at 1084x768 on this computer, I'll check it for you when I can get on a bigger one :).

Sal Collaziano 01-13-2007 02:11 PM

Thank you.. Here's a screen shot...

deathemperor 01-13-2007 02:57 PM

I'm afraid I cannot help you, your style contain too many XHTML errors as checked here:

http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=ht.../timeslips.php

the timeslips is valid XHTML, so the error cannot come from the hack itself.

My suggestion is that you should fix your HTML code on the header and footer template.

Sal Collaziano 01-13-2007 03:10 PM

Thank you! I will look into this...

tarionyx 01-13-2007 05:24 PM

Is there any reason why there is nothing in the "rides" section of mine? I don't think the field even shows up in the UserCP. Any ideas?
