Google hasn't banned my IP, I can manually go to the same URL and watch the Google video just fine. It's only when I post it on my forum, inside the [media] tag, that I get "Error: Failed to parse video url."

Hi Crist i have a question,say if a member uploads a .wmv file from their computer,is there anyway you can make that file play directly in the post with the tags? ive tried and had no luck i would like it so members can watch the vid in the post without having to download and watch on their computer,see below screenshot on what i'm saying with the file type that a member has uploaded.

hi,

u mean once the member has uploaded the media file, it will be auto-played in the post, even the member do not need to use any bbcode for that?:cool:

How to edit this Any Media Player template? I already edited it in the Style Manager but didn't work. Where can I find its template?

(Just wanna edit because in my Style, the class named "tcat" dont like the "tcat" in vBulletin default style)

erincon 04-28-2006 03:11 PM

Tralala 04-28-2006 06:35 PM

As mentioned a few posts above, YouTube changed some things on their end today.

frandy 04-28-2006 06:51 PM

Sadly yeah...anyone know of a work around?

LICryptkeeper 04-28-2006 07:36 PM

yes, I know that something changed, i was wondering WHAT changed.

in this thread it shouws youtube video urls like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uzk_m9tILx0

but on their page the embed tag looks like something else (youtube is really slow right now)

Rickie3 04-29-2006 12:55 AM

yes youtube links are not loading for me either,but it loads ok using this hack
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=111386

whitetigergrowl 04-29-2006 05:20 PM

Well one change is, it looks like they added a new style of player. Was just watching a video over there and saw a link to check it out in their new player.

pcoskat 04-30-2006 05:03 PM

This really is a spectacular mod!!

Is there any way it could be modified to open "podcast" feeds? Perhaps in the free Pupu Player? http://www.pupuplatters.com/pupuplayer/try.htm

Or the 'not free' Wimpy Player??? (www.wimpyplayer.com)

I'd really appreciate it!

Tiberonmagnus 04-30-2006 08:28 PM

Think I almost got this working :)

whitetigergrowl 05-01-2006 04:44 AM

Any luck on the Youtube problem.

sickboy6ths 05-01-2006 06:47 AM

Very very nice hack... Only problem that I have with it...
The Auto Collapse Module Setting in the vbsettings doesn't work.. hence.. every time someone looks at at thread with anymedia tags... it starts caching the videos automaticly... and that's something we don't want because it costs a shitload of bandwidth etc :) Is there any work around? Thanks!

Even the new post. I changed tag name to VMEDIA from AdminCP, but it's always MEDIA. I have to type in manually. I don't know if other people have the same problem !!

MioTraGusa 05-02-2006 06:50 PM

temporal fix to youtube videos

youtube changed the format for prevent downloads.

example:

before, --> link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwyW0vRxefM and the before,--> download link: http://youtube.com/get_video.php?video_id=qwyW0vRxefM

now,--> link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwyW0vRxefM
now,--> download link: http://youtube.com/get_video?video_id=qwyW0vRxefM&t=OEgsToPDskIY57PMLPbv93vbordcNAfg
extra code-->(&t=OEgsToPDskIY57PMLPbv93vbordcNAfg) <--- extra code

if your have your youtube videos into [media] tag, and not view... you can apply this fix.

in Create AnyMedia BBCode pluggin search:
Code:

                                $media['url'] = "http://youtube.com/get_video.php?video_id=".$match[1];
                                $media['extension'] = "flv";

and replace for:
Code:

                                                                $youtube = $match[1];
                                                                $media['extension'] = "flv2";

search:
Code:

                                // Adobe Flash
underneath add:
Code:

                                case 'flv2':
                                                                $media['type']='youtubes';
                                                                break;

in anymedia template search:
Code:

    <if condition="$media[type]=='adobe_flash'">
    <!-- Abode Flash -->

before add:
Code:

    <if condition="$media[type]=='youtubes'">
<object width="$media[width]" height="$media[height]"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/$youtube"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/$youtube" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="$media[width]" height="$media[height]"></embed></object></if>

add the extension in AnyMedia BBCode Options-->Supported extensions (,flv2)
see screenshots ... test it :tired:

Getting 'Error: Non supported media type.' as well. This really needs to be looked into and fixed ASAP since many of us rely on Youtube with this.

but in that case you should change the [media] tag for another. if you have a big forum with more youtube videos is very fast and this fix work perfect.

@frandy, @Strike3ForumsMH, @whitetigergrowl

You should add the extension in AnyMedia BBCode Options-->Supported extensions (,flv2)

Is there a command to make an audio or video file loop?

I have an audio file set to autoplay with: MEDIA=0,0,1

I'm wondering if there is a way to make it loop as well.
