i can easaly make the post count go up but that wont make it like he has a pos in the thread.

Hey just a note. Might want to rework the showthread part. It will add one query per post. Meaning if 100 posts are showed on the page this hack adds 100 queries.

Is there anyway to do it? I really dont care about the post count going up, Just a simple click of the Thank you button & then whutever is behind the [*hide][*/hide] code appears. Can this be done?

Also if you take the url for thanking in a post such as http://www.extremechatforums.com/for...t_thanks&p=415 and change the number you can thank yourself. I took it and changed it to http://www.extremechatforums.com/for...t_thanks&p=425 which was the postid for the announcement I just made and was able to thank myself without any problems. Might want to get that fixed as well. Users shouldn't be able to thank themselves. That would just lead to abuse of the system.

I'm sure it can. But I have no idea what your code looks like and it would be a whole separate hack.

I have learned more about PHP since I wrote this hack. I may soon re-write parts of it.

A Way to cheat the system and thank yourself....this is my lil exploit for this mod..

Also i include a quick fix at the end of it..that is working on my forums...

Take the URL http://yourwebsite.com/post_thanks.p...post_thanks&p=

Then you add the post number. You can find this by waving your cursor over the link at the upper left hand corner of the post...the number like #129 for example..

Or just click on the #129 and in the big long line like this http://www.yourwebsite.com/forum/showpost.php?p=637918&postcount=129 the bold number is what you would take and put at the end of the url posted above..

so basicially if i wanted to thank myself i would do the following url on the website if it was installed..

http://yourwebsite.com/post_thanks.p...post_thanks&p=637918

Now the bold number is the number of my post and would allow me to thank myself..

So erm author..might wanna fix this in your next version..


And a quick fix for those of you having probs with your users cheating it..
