Yes what ever the THIS_SCRIPT value of the page you are linking to needs to be put in that field, or the tab will not highlight.

I apologize, but I do not understand. How do I set the "THIS_SCRIPT" value of a page? I created the page with BF-Easy Pages and there is no setting for "THIS_SCRIPT". Is there some way for me to do this manually?
Sorry, I am a newbie. |
Nevermind, I was able to view the source of the page, and search for THIS_SCRIPT. I figured it out, it was pages.
Thanks. |
Glad you got it sorted out, let me know if you need anything else. :)

I do have one question ....
I'm trying to get a grip on the THIS_SCRIPT parameter. One of my new tabs links to a page, (well, a thread really), and from the source it tells me that the parameter value is "showthread". However, another page (thread) I want to link to has the same value. Possibly I'm being very dense here but if the same value is on both tabs, which one gets highlighted and when? |
If two tabs have the same THIS_SCRIPT value they will both be highlighted at the same time, so if you choose one they will both be highlighted. That is how vBulletin handles it.
What I would do in your situation in order to have the tab highlight when it is selected is in the field URL To Tab paste the full url to the thread, and instead of selecting THIS_SCRIPT select URL in the field URL To Tab. This will highlight each tab as it is selected. Chris |

OK, great, I'll give that a go, thanks. |
Let me know if it works, it should if it is set up right.

Hey Chris, nice mod. It looks great and seems pretty simple to use.
I am having a little problem with getting the tabs to highlight when they go to the page they are linked to. I created 2 pages off of the CMS which both use the same THIS_SCRIPT (vbcms) value, so I just used the url parameter tab mode (with full url) and left the this_script field blank. Whenever I go to these pages it still highlights the CMS page. Is there something I missed? I am running vb4.1.11. Thanks for your help. |
What is it you are linking to in the cms?
I created a tab, linking to article, for Tab Mode I choose URL, so when I clicked on that tab it took me to the article and highlighted the tab. Chris |
