Does anyone Know about this chat?

- Is this the 30 day trial version?
- Many downloads few installs
- Does it work on 4.2.2?
- What do you do with the xml file not in the upload folder?
- This should not be installed in the forum folder but in the root?

I think that this company has gone out of business.

I bought the license and then added on the video chat module. Then I learned that I would have to have a dedicated server and that my purchases were useless.

I did use the chat hosting for about 5 months, but the last payment I made wasn't applied and my chat URL comes up with "expired" and asks me to pay. Last payment was July 20th.

I have emailed, opened tickets, tried every which way to contact them. The ticket system conveniently says "the tickets will be worked in the order they were opened. If you open another ticket, you will be dropped to the bottom of the list". How convenient.

Basically I've paid hundreds of dollars and still have nothing. Not even fake support.

VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Oh - and their website is still taking money! ???? Seems a bit shady, and since they're located in HK, there's no recovery.

I guess I'm back at square one. :(

ArrowChat & Cometchat have similar function to what this mod states, but actually work for vBulletin 4.2.X

I too have been using this for a lot of years. Though communication has been a problem a few times, it has been the best chat solution that I ever found. Mine expired the end of July. Never got a renewal invoice and as stated above, support tickets to tech support and to sales have gone unanswered. Sooooo......I'm once again looking for a new chat solution.

After doing a lot of searching, I am getting close to pulling the trigger on ProChatRooms. Do any of you use it? It seems to offer most of the features that 123Flashchat offered.

They say on their site that it will integrate with VBulletin. I have sent them an email asking for some clarifications.

One thing that I don't see is any type of mod or widget to show on the forum page "Who is Chatting".

If any of you have any experience with or feedback about it I would appreciate it.

Just an update. I did go ahead and buy the ProChatRooms software. It will integrate with VBulletin, at least for the most part. My members love it. It has most of the features of that 123Flashchat had but is much faster. I installed it on my own server and it was fairly quick and easy. One note is that you must have VDO Drivers installed on your server. I got a warning that the drivers were not installed and had to get that done. It was no big deal with my host though. Took them about 15 minutes.

When I say that it integrates for the most part. They have VBulletin integration files that you download. After you have installed the chat room, you upload the integration files. Very simple. At that point, when your users go to the chat room they are automatically logged in. What it does not seem to do is pull any profile information like profile picture, avatars, etc. into the chat room. You have to upload your avatar from there. Also, they are supposed to have a file for "who is chatting" to add to your forum page but I haven't found it yet. Waiting on a response to a support ticket on that one.

Otherwise, it works very well and is very fast. It's the best thing I've used since 123Flashchat went away. Actually better in regards to speed and etc. My members on iPhones and Androids say that it works there also but I notice when I tried it on my iPhone the sounds do not work. Not a huge deal to me.

They do have an audio/video plugin but I did not purchase that.
