I have a forum running 3.8.4 and it is running fine I asked a friend with a blackberry that was not on the list of supported to test knowing that it might have problems and so did he.

Eric

i know exactly what beta is. unfortunately i have to depend on my members since i myself do not own a blackberry device. i have an iphone. applause to u for having a friend that was willing to work with you.

vbeal Might have been a lil strong on the wording... put your site up and ask for someone here to look at it. If I am around I will and let you know any errors...

org.xml.sax.SAXParseException:Expecting end of file Error
When trying to get new posts
Plus the b for bottum works but the T for top does not in a post works great in thread list

footose 11-17-2009 05:19 PM

Itchy Nips: You are good to go now. I forgot to change one of the encoding options in one of the files for the XML. I will do a release later tonight since it probably is effecting other forums also.

Im going to test this on the pearl tomorrow with v4 software so will be back on here with a update on how it goes.

Maybe able to test on the curve too just trying to obtain one for the day :-)

Oh and sorry to come across as a pain in the backside but are you going to be coding this for vb4 as i will be moving to that as soon as it goes gold.

Same issue here with 0.86 jab and 0.03 version of the mod

1) The instruction when add a forum is unchanged. It should reflect the new changes that we don't need / after forum and http:// is not needed anymore
2) It does not parse global vb variables. I have a custom variable on my forum description. I use $programtotals[1] which vb will evaluate and return a number. It does not on this mod. It just show $programtotals[1]
3) The main screen where you add/remove forum. If you click on Settings, it will display a white block at the bottom left corner where the pop up menu is.
4) Parsing html unicode problem: It displays " instead of "
5) Subscribed threads will result in "org.xml.sax.SAXParseException:expecting an element" if i don't subscribe to any thread.

Most definitely coding it for vb4.

I have not tried on Pearl hardware yet, so it may or may not work.

On the simulator, it's hard to really tell how great it will be. Please let me know! It doesn't look that bad at all to be honest.

Make sure you are running OS 4.5

You may also end up with "Bad DNS" error with the pearl - The Reason is because you have a "space" in the URL - sometimes after you put ".com" with the auto fill feature it puts a space after it - not sure why. i will add that to my list of stuff to debug.

Quantnet: Thanks for the info - i will take care of the generic items in the next release.

As for your custom variable - is it possible for you to setup an FTP account for me on your site to the m_functions directory? That way, when I am not working I can take a look and debug for you.
