I have an issue where I don't get the post bit menu to show up. I saw posts about putting the $wowchar_menu into the post bit but not sure where I would put that in? I am a n00b to some of this so. I am not able to see anything like the screen shot you have of the post bit menu.

Screen shot of the issue I am seeing.

Ok I tried my default style with the Yes option selected: Automatically insert the menu into postbit and it works for the default style but none of my other styles will show the character drop down next to the avatar. Where am I going wrong here?

Ok here is what I found if I add it after the user rank line it works. I have to go to each style and edit it to add the $wowchar_menu after
PHP Code:

<if condition="$post['rank']"><div class="smallfont">$post[rank]</div></if>

Once I did that the post bit showed up as per normal. Nice work on this mod I love it.

Hi Gryphon,

thanks for this mod.

Can i use this mod for another game?

The Mod only works with a Multiple-Line Text Box. Is it possible that they works with a normal textbox?

I have the Char Information in 6 Single Text Boxes. When the First Text box is filled in, than the mod should work and show the information in the popup in postbit_legacy.

Can you help me for this?

Thanks, Slaxi

For those having trouble with the postbit not showing up.

If you set the profile field to 'private', which seems logical since it's just data AND you don't have the usergroup permissions set to view private fields, the postbit will not show up. You can have rep enabled or not, doesn't seem to matter, but if the field is private and users don't have permission to view others private fields, it won't show.

Other than that it's a great mod and works fine. I added the regex from earlier and will see how well it works to ensure users are getting the right format.

I'd like to see a 'enable for all forums' option, rather than having to list every forum separately. I know this is the opposite of what what asked for by someone else earlier, but I see no reason to hide it in a specific forum.

Also having problems with accented chars, which in turn gives corrupted URL addresses.

Found the fix: If you have problems with accented chars translating to %7E on the url's, go edit settings of the language you're using and set the character encoding to UTF-8.

Great mod but had to move this to uninstalled as our website has upgraded to vBulletin 4. Any chance it will be changed to support that version?

I just upgraded to vB4, and my users are demanding that this mod be brought back. <Laugh> I'm holding them at bay currently, but I think they may try to chase me with pitchforks soon, if I don't get it! Please, please, please! This mod for vB4!
