Hi Andrew!

This is a great hack! :smoke:

Is it possible to have featured sites per catagory? So that favourites are shown as featured only in the catagory/catagories that favourite is in....

That would be great because it does not make sense to have a featured dog in a cat catagory :lick:

I logged in a test account that was a registered user and tried to upload a file. I have uploads enabled and permissions set to allow registered users to upload. The upload tried to complete but at the end it said "I did not have a catagory set for the upload" so it didn't accept it. The funny thing is that I tried uploading from the directory I was uploading to. When setting the info for the upload there was no option for a catagory. Is this normal? When logged in as Admin I have catagories to choose from but registered users don't.

Any clues?

OK, will investigate. Thanks.

I'll add that as an option. Thanks.

Are you using forum-based permissions? If so, there's an annoying little bug that Ophelia discovered. See a few posts back for a modified version of local_links_include.php that fixes this bug. I have not yet had the chance to upload this as part of the full package.

I know you have a lot on your plate; what are the chances of having a way for having files added to the downloads also having their descriptions and/or a link to them added to a specified forum. Like have LDM use a default "user" to post a new thread in a specified forum. The forum admin can preset certain ways it can be displayed and posted.

DOH! Sorry about that, I must have missed it earlier.

I can see the use of this - I'm beginning to think that the best way to handle suggestions like yours is to place a full set of 'hooks' to LDM (like in VB), so that people can easily create these sorts of patches without having to modify the central logical of LDM.

However, interplay between LDM and forums is potentially risky as I don't want to trigger the destruction of someone's bulletin board! Connecting LDM with the posts table might have side effects that I don't realise.

Wonderful!!! That's what we are always waitting for! Please don't forget to add a hook for the point systems

Hi Andrew.
Is it still possible to do a mass import into LDM from the server? I cant find the option.
