hi xeagle,

first, thanks for updating to support php7.

second, now that vb4.2.5 is EOL, any sense of timing of making vbsso working with vb 5? this is the only reason i am not moving to vb 5.

Xeagle - Any idea on what is causing this? Still working on it myself but I installed it fine and everything on my local and now I am trying to put it on my live server and am getting this when I try to activate it in WordPress:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method Composer\Autoload\ClassLoader::setApcuPrefix() in ......./public_html/wp/wp-content/plugins/vbsso-lite/vendor/composer/autoload_real.php on line 39

I have installed the plugin on both sides and it looks to be working like expected. The only problem comes when I try to log into the Wordpress backend. It just takes me back to the forums. The Wordpress admin user is not a user on the forums. Help.

Thank you for reaching out.

We would like to recommend you to sync your admin user with vBulletin - you can add it manually via vBulletin Admin CP:

- all "old" WordPress users (registered before connecting vBSSO) should be sync with vBulletin users as vBulletin acts as a Master.

Otherwise you will be not able to log into the Wordpress backend (vBSSO works only for users registered on both platforms - WordPress and vBulletin).

Also please check out if the vBSSO widget was added on your WordPress site

- this will allow your new users to be redirected to vBulletin`s registration page and pass the registration
- vBSSO will add newly registered user to WordPress automatically

In case additional help please contact our support team to submit a support ticket and we will do our best to help you.

Thank you,

Thank you for your feedback.
We are pleased to hear that you are interested in our product.

Unfortunately, vBSSO is currently not compatible with vBulletin 5.x.

If you depend on vBulletin 5 version, we can propose our help in its support - we can adopt vBSSO with vBulletin 5 (this feature will be not free). Please inform us if you are interested and we will discuss it in more details.

If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact our team.
Keep up to date with the latest news on http://vbsso.com/

It seems the error is related with composer version used in vBSSO-lite. To investigate the issue more deeply could you please contact our support team to submit a support ticket. We will do our best to help you (please indicate your WordPress, vBSSO-lite and PHP versions).

Thank you,

Thanks, I still had issues when I added the admin user through vbulletin, but I found a way around it.

I installed the widget and it looks really strange on the site. I opened up a trouble ticket for that one.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Mike

So what is the best setup for this to start out without causing issues?

I have some accounts in WP that were transferred in via aMember but some are not. I have tried logging in via a test account and takes me to vB and shows successful login, takes me back to WP and I am not logged in. The test account is not an account on WP already.

What is the best way to go about fixing this?

I have disabled vbsso because i have installed vb5.4
Now i have the problem of access to wordpress accounts

If re-enabled the plugin to remove the configurations I get this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method Composer\Autoload\ClassLoader::setApcuPrefix() in /web/wp-content/plugins/vbsso/vendor/composer/autoload_real.php on line 39

How can I re-enable the plugin or completely uninstall the fields in the db?

How vBSSO works?

vBSSO allows to sign in many connected platforms using your vBulletin account, for example, TEST USER. It means TEST USER should exist on vBulletin side. Connect vBSSO. Login as a TEST USER - vBSSO will create TEST USER on WordPress automatically.

Regarding your login issue - it seems you have not added vBSSO widget on your WordPress site. Could you please check this out? This widget is required (WordPress > Appearance > Widgets > add vBSSO Login widget to you widget area):

- it will redirect your users to vBulletin`s registration page and let them pass the registration on vBulletin
- vBSSO will add newly registered user to WordPress automatically
