FYI everyone, I am not for sure what the support is going to be on the official support forums (I don't make that call) but since I primarily help out everyone here, I thought I would let you know that the support is likely to be limited for the next few days due to the holiday. I will do my best to check on occasion, but I can't guarantee anything.

To all those in the states celebrating, I hope you enjoy the time off from work and your family as much as I will be. :)

I'll do it. If there's an obscure little bug in something, I'm usually the first to find it. I have Zoints Local installed on my site and really would like to see everything working smoothly. Is there a change log for Zoints 2.0 available yet?

Ho jdelasko,

Make sure to contact Danny per described. I am not 100% sure if a changelog has been created yet, if so it hasn't been shared with us yet. If you are curious to see the changelog, ask Danny about it when contacting him regarding the testing of QA as it would be something he would likely be in possession of and would have the call about releasing it before the build is released to the QA team.

Thanks and I sincerely apologize about the delay in response. My Tuesday was beyond hectic, full of meetings and end of the semester work.

Will do. No worries about the delay.. I think the entire vBulletin world was on their site yesterday checking out the vBulletin 3.7 Beta they have running. It was really funny how so many were overly impressed with the new vBulletin 'Social Group' feature, yet they don't seem to know that Zoints even exists. Me... I'll stick with Zoints because there is simply nothing else like it.

I'll contact Danny. Zoints is very close to being a first rate social networking addon. There's a few bugs and some feature missing, but I know you guys are working on them and I look forward to the day that everything is working perfectly. I'm sure I can be more valuable by working with your developers in this small way as opposed to just complaining when things don't work the way I think they should.

We appreciate the support jdelasko, we really do. And we're really hoping that the new release will correct some of those bugs that we all know about and that the features added will make Zoints Local even more appreciated by your members. Right now we're currently testing the release (as a team) and correcting bugs we noticed that were either lingering or resulted due to new features, so when that wraps up, Danny should be contacting members about the Quality Assurance team and beta testing.

And thanks for sharing your forum's example of Zoints Local. It's always great to see a example in which the admin customizes Zoints Local to fit their forum's theme (such as the scoreboard block you have.)

I love the ease at which I can adapt any 'widget' in the world to work within Zoints. Here's a link to a flash demo of a Zoints page with an embedded mini browser and Java chat room:

It's a 4MB flash file and will take some time to load, so if anyone here wants to look at a good example of what you can do with Zoints installed on a vBulletin forum, this is one is kinda cool.... at least I think so. I plan on making similar demos to show users how to use the various features.

I'm also currently working on a number of new styles to make available to my users. It's going to take some time but I'm creating styles for all the MLB teams. Then I'll start on NFL themes and College sports themes. It's one area that I think the average user could use some help. All you have to do is browse Myspace and you will find that an alarming percentage of users are very aesthetically challenged :)

Hi Solid, I just got back from my last final of the semester, but I'll look into that for you later.

Unitedpunjab, this is what I got back from one of our engineers:

They may need to change the connection type (Turn on/off persistent connections), or increase the amount of connections allowed by MySQL.
Like I said, the MySQL errors with Zoints have been rare so I personally don't know much, but if you don't manage your MySQL server I would suggest getting in contact with whoever does to check the status and see if there is not anything to correct.
