If you only want to show the chatbox on this other page of the forum, you have to put the parameter of this definition and put it in the option in the acp and then activate the show chatbox on defined pages below the navbar. Quote:

To fix this remove the chatbox files, especially in the includes/xml directory. Quote:

Adding a color is currently only feasible by editing the functions_mgc_cb_evo.php file, I might consider putting the list in an option in the next version. Quote:

Here is another bug noticed at my end:
In the notifications manager i have "Number of notifications to display in the chatbox" set to 20. In the Chat management I put to "Number of chats in the chatbox" set to "X". Here is what it does for me: In the notifications box, it will show the correct number of notifications(at first). But in the last number of chats what it did was subtract the number i last chats to displaye set by me from the number of notifications. So I put in display last 20 notifications and put display last 21 chats. It would only display me one last chat and 20 notifications. I tested the with number of notifications set to 20 and kept changing the number of displayed last chats. number of chats set to display/ number of chats showed 30-28/7 and 23 last posts/threads 27-26/6 25-23/5 22/4 21/3 20/2 and 18 in last posts/thread 19/1 18/0 Also, more strange things: When i set to display last chats to 100 and set the number of notifications to 20 it showed me last 30 chats and about 70 notifications.... |
Another issue that needs correction is that if user who is able to see the archives and not a special channel , he can still enter if he knows the channel ID by entering it into the url.
So have to remove Archive for all members as well. |

Separate SQL query for the notifications to Yes. By default it is set to No and will only show the set amount of notifications you have set as chats and topics meaning if you set it at 20 then 20 total chats and/or threads total will be shown. Setting it to have seperate queries will split the two and show exactly how many you have set it to show each. |

VBDev,
Can you please answer my question... I am feeling a bit ignored since its the third time ive had to ask and still have not received an answer. I really need to be able to display the chatbox on my blog pages... HELP PLEASE... Quote:

I am not really sure if it is the browser or plugin related. But before I upgraded vbulletin to 3.8.2 and MGC chatbox to latest version I had autocompletion of often used chats drop down to choose from. Similar to what is now possible with commands.
Is that removed now from the plugin or am I missing something else? |
looks like filezila strikes again, some files didn't load completly. Nice call!
A few constant "chat processing" errors coming up though. refresh fixes this, but some members will complain. Thoughts? |

You have to look at the vbblog php files and search for the value of the THIS_SCRIPT define at the top of the file. Put the found value in the textarea of the acp dedicated to the display of the chatbox on other pages. Then activate the show the chatbox on defined pages below the navbar. Quote:

The symbol "%" shows as &*#*3*7*; (without the star in between) when entered in chat. |

Hi. We finally got the chatbox working (it was a problem with our server). Most of our questions have been answered by this topic, but we have a few questions which we've searched through this topic but haven't found answers to.
Firstly, is is possible to add links, font styles etc to the announcement? We've tried the standard [url=...] and <url=...> etc tags but they dont seem to work. Secondly, is is possible to edit the background colour of the chat box? Third, there is a sort of glitch (although perhaps its intentional) in that when users cannot edit the BBCODE the text in the box they type in is black on a white background. When they press OK it appears on the chatbox as the default colour we have set in the admin panel. However once we activate the BBCODE editing for users, the text in the box comes up as the default colour as opposed to black. So if the default colour is light (because we have a blue chatbox), its hard to read the light writing on the white box. If this is intentional, is there a way to change it so no matter what colour u use, the text in the writing box is always black? Or peraps there is another way around this.. Fourthly, is there any way to remove some of the boxes in the BBCODE menu e.g. the Links box (and the one next to it..the T with the cross through it). Fifthly (and most importantly!) how do we donate? It really is a great mod...its obvious you've put in alot of work for this. |

It's overrided by the commands autocompletion. |

So I put that in the field labeled: List of the other forum pages Than I activate: Display on defined pages of the forum under the navbar When I do this it does not show the chatbox on the blog page and I get my vba homepage messed up. Meaning the add-on for vba chatbox blog goes away and the chatbox shows under the navbar. I also have turned on: Display the chatbox on defined pages in a variable and in the field I have: adv_index, blog The: adv_index allows me to have the chatbox in a center block on my vba homepage. I'm not seeing what I'm doing wrong. Any further instructions please to get this to work on the vbBlog? THANKS! |

What did you have before doing the modifications ? Only in a variable ? Quote:
I could anyhow implement a kind of autocompletion with pre-filled message you'd enter in your usercp for example. What do you think ? Quote:

It just happened after the upgrade ?
Users are reporting it to work well under 3.8.2 so far, very strange. |

My problem is very basic, i hope. I just use the installation importing shouts from VBShout 2.0, then I deinstalled VBShout, uploaded all files, followed the instructions step by step, I had no errors, but the problem is that the chatbox doesn't show on forumhome, even if I activated product and I chose to show the chatbox on forumhome. Any idea?
Thanks a lot in advance |
