Your forum is not loading the Facebook "back-end" - Did you recently upgrade? What exact VB version are you using?
In any case go to Admin CP -> Settings -> Options -> Facebook Options and make sure the Facebook Platform is enabled and further down that the Facebook Like button is enabled in Threads (and CMS and Blog if applicable) |
tanks work grate 4.1.7

Facebook platform IS enabled, and the like button is enabled in threads. Now, I do not have a facebook application id. Could that be the issue? Just upgraded another forum from 3.8 to 4.1 today, and same issue. |
Another question. Maybe its the lack of sleep, but why would this work in some threads, and not in others? For example, compare these two threads on the same site:
http://www.puff.com/forums/vb/cigar-...ineo-help.html http://www.puff.com/forums/vb/questi...chat-link.html The first one shows the links, the second does not. I have the plugin set to "ALL FORUMS". Could this have something to do with the second one being a nested forum? |
The second link is not viewable to guests. As of 4.1.7 vBulletin no longer loads the facebook like button for any forums not viewable to guests- as a result none of the share buttons will show- so that is working as expected.
And yes, I think you need the facebook app id now as well. |

And ok, I'll go make a facebook app id and see if that fixes it. If so, u may wanna make a note next to the option in the config that they will need the app id in order to use the facebook buttons. ill let u know if it works, either way. |
Confirmed. App ID & Secret are required for Facebook buttons to show up.
|
Is it possible to use a URL shortner (e.g. bit.ly) by default when Tweet button is used?
|
Can anyone confirm if this will work with 4.1.8?

Sorry, works. My bad. Happened to look under a thread that was a restricted area! SO: Works under 4.1.8..

Do you have a specific URL it's not working on? |

I didnt had facebook options activated on subforums and threads |
Anyone know how to get this working on sections?
|
HI Bird0Prey5
Can your mod work on article preview in vb4 cms index? specifically the templates is vbcms_content_article_preview |
It is not designed to work in sections or article previews. These changes may be added one day but if so it would likely be to the gold version only.
|
awesome mod!!
thanks for that! on the main page of our it looks like the facebook button is appearing but is not clickable : https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2011/12/38.png EDIT : Ok, clearing the cookies helped. So basically - i can confirm the mod is working fine on 4.1.8 |
I love this mod and have had it installed for a long time. Recently, my Twitter icon started looking...squished?
http://www.ludawgs.com/showthread.ph...1284#post61284 |
It's the width here:
Code:
<iframe allowtransparency="true" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" src="http://platform.twitter.com/widgets/tweet_button.html#_=1323462176103&_version=2&count=none&enableNewSizing=false&id=twitter-widget-0&lang=en&original_referer=URL." class="twitter-share-button twitter-count-none" style="height: 20px; width: 55px; " title="Twitter Tweet Button"></iframe> |

No the count does not seem to work on *SOME* forums, same as it has been.
Also I see that the "squished" look is the actual new look Twitter is using. Even using the default code at: http://twitter.com/about/resources/buttons#tweet - the button looks exactly the same if you uncheck the "Show Count" box- so I don't think there is anything I can do to fix the look- it is how Twitter intends to make it look. |
That stinks. They must not be aware because it is completely off balance.

Sorry I don't understand your English.

I just installed the mod within my 4.1.7 Suite and everything seems to work fine. Except the facebook function. If I click the "I like" button it's working fine but I cannot "dislike it" and the message at Facebook is my domain with the additional information "vBulletin 4 Suite" below the domain. The logo is alway a picture from the latest CMS News in spite of the fact I clicked on the button at forumhome.
Any idea for me to support? Thanks a lot! Issue solved! |
I love this mod. I see a clear correlation between this mod and traffic increase (also an increase in bounce rate, but we're converting new members!).
Has anyone experienced any inaccuracies with the Digg counter? |
Installed but it only displays on forum home and not the CMS and threads. Yes, I made sure it was enabled and that enable on CMS is set to yes.
|
Is there any chance to make also photos from the CMS visible in goole+? Everything works fine except the photo will not be displayed.....
...in the meantime I found the issue - it takes the logo of my vB but this has white color with a transparent background. Could you please support me to resolve that issue? Thanks a lot! .....I only need the possibility to transfer a different logo than my vB has.....where do I have to change that? |

It may take some time for Google to pick up the new image... (hours, maybe days.) Quote:

I have my logo already installed, please have a look at www.mf-rn.de
The logo is only the page title in front of the header image |
If your logo is white on transparent the logical solution seems to be to change your logo if you're unhappy with it.

There is no option in the mod to do this. I don't know the details of how Google+ works, you could Google for more info I guess. I know Facebook allows you to add HTML code to the header to force it to use an image, I'd assume Google+ has something like this.
