You should just import games that 'Leaderboard Enabled' in the Import Game menu. All of them can save the score.

Yes, all the games in question are Leaderboard Enabled from the Import menu.

Yes I've verified it, and the .xml file was detected by the server and everything.
I have standard issue Chrome, and also FireFox.

Remember, this only works for games I have imported, not the standard issue.
Also, almost immediately after showing a high score list, the screen changes to a "You do not have permissions to access this page" error, which I believe is preventing the score from saving somehow.

Okay, I've managed to install v3 along with ibpro. I did a find and replace for the v3 xml install file, and changed all instances of arcade.php to v3arcade.php before importing it.

I love the idea of being able to import games from MochiMedia.com, which makes this arcade totally different to the other one, and everything seems to work okay. The only thing is, I can't seem to find where to change the navigation bits:

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2011/07/105.jpg

At the moment, they still point to arcade.php, and I'd like to change them to v3arcade.php

Thanks :)

Edit: Okay, I can't read properly. I found the links in the actual php files, just ignore me :(

Nice job, and welcome to the ranks of the "double arcaders" - where ONE arcade just ISN'T good enough! :)

Nice to see someone doing it the "other way round"...all the ones I have seen so far (including my own) have modified ibProArcade and left v3Arcade as it was.

stardom 07-05-2011 04:30 PM

When I installed everything. Now when I click Arcade, it goes to error. What file do I add Games to?

Well done :)

Did you also change all references of arcade.php in all of the v3arcade files, if not I think you are going to run into some problems somewhere down the line?

What error are you getting?

You either upload games (tar/zip format) to your admincp/games folder via FTP, set up a Mochi account and import them through your AdminCP or there is a selection of sample v3a games on v3arcade.com that you can import or you can manually add games.

Thanks...I was really only testing to see if I could do it, which was why I didn't try messing with ibpro. I'm quite shocked that it worked actually, so I decided to leave it, but I'm still waiting to see if it self-destructs because of something I've done wrong! lol

Check what Gemma said above though, make sure you have made the path changes in arcade.php too otherwise....boom!

angeljs 07-06-2011 06:04 PM

Lol...I think I must have done okay as everything's working fine so far. I'll come back as a ghost to let you know otherwise :)

I've used both ibProArcade and v3Arcade in the past for my forum. I have yet to install an arcade after an upgrade to vB 4.x.

I was ready to install v3 and then was notified that DragonByte will be releasing their new "vBArcade" at the end of the month. I don't, necessarily, have any allegiance to them. I just wanted to get your take on their new project. (I am still leaning towards v3Arcade since I don't want to wait till the end of the month) :)

Zabulus 07-10-2011 01:26 PM

From what I understand, I would get paid when users play these games?

Can someone tell me how much I can earn (How it works etc)

Thanks

Zab

Only for MochiAds games, you'll find more information at points 3 & 4 - here

Rates vary and you shouldn't look at it as a way of getting rich ;)

http://piclair.com/data/yqiss.jpg

Looks nothing like the arcade homepage you guys got. I installed it perfect, what is wrong ??? Seems like css bug.

Also, everything is practically blank on Chrome browser. I can't see any games or anything!

I'm using vb 4.1.4 patch 1

Gemma 07-17-2011 11:31 AM

Do you have another style you can try it out on?

Is the template arcade.css present in that style?

Miihawk 07-17-2011 08:33 PM

I see this template

v3arcade.css

But not arcade.css

I tried changing names, has no effect.

Seems like the css is not being called ??

Gemma 07-17-2011 08:38 PM

Sorry, my mistake it should be v3arcade.css

Can you test in another style?

Miihawk 07-17-2011 08:48 PM

darn :( it works on default vb style.

Does this mean I have to change my style for this to work ?

also my posts are being moderated on your forums >.< username: virendar

Gemma 07-17-2011 08:50 PM

Also, can you copy me the top of your v3ARCADE_MAIN template down to this part <!-- Side Bar -->

Miihawk 07-17-2011 08:56 PM

Here ya go :

PHP Code:

{vb:stylevar htmldoctype}
<

<
div class="userinfopanel" id="userpanel"></div

**EDIT** I've sent you a PM

Gemma 07-18-2011 04:05 PM

You should be good to go :)

woffie 07-27-2011 10:00 AM

Just switched from IBarcade to this one. I like this much better and love the ability to add games without uploading from mochi.

Gemma 07-27-2011 09:02 PM

Just to confirm before anyone asks, the arcade is working on 4.1.5. If you are upgrading and running either vB CMS or vBAdvanced CMPS you will need to re-edit your index.php so that IPB games submit scores.

CMPS - http://www.v3arcade.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3407
CMS - http://www.v3arcade.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3215

thunderclap82 07-31-2011 06:21 AM

Is the v3arcade site down indefinitely? It's been at least three days since the forum became inactive, and when I try the contact link I get a page error.

CK 07-31-2011 02:52 PM

Upgrading to v4 maybe.

glen290 07-31-2011 03:48 PM

hope its back up soon, upgraded to vb 4.1.4 during the week and need to edit templates to save scores...

enginethatcan't 07-31-2011 04:16 PM

Installed - can't believe how easy this was

I noticed IPProArcade (sic?) is also down. Wonder if they're merging?

If IPB Scores Are Not Saving With vBulletin CMS

Open index.php and do the following edit.

Find:
Code:

require('content.php');
Add above:
Code:

require_once('./includes/v3arcade_vbsuite_index_compatibility.php');
Save and upload. Close all of your browsers and restart.

IPB Scores Not Saving With vBadvanced CMPS
For those who are using vBadvanced CMPS and are using it in the same folder as vBulletin and are using the vBa CMPS script as their 'index.php' file instead of the default 'index.php' file

Look for.
Code:

require_once('./global.php');
and immediately *AFTER* it add:
Code:

require_once('./includes/v3arcade_vbsuite_index_compatibility.php');
Save and upload. Close all of your browsers and restart.

glen290 07-31-2011 05:26 PM

Cheers Gemma, helpful as always.. :-)

CK 07-31-2011 05:52 PM

Gemma, what' the gossip then?

Gemma 07-31-2011 06:44 PM

Dunno, I've not been online much the past week. Down for maintenance I guess.

CK 07-31-2011 09:48 PM

Cheers, it is unusual though.

rootsxrocks 07-31-2011 10:13 PM

Thank you soo soo much,Gemma your a Lifesaver ! I was panicking the members have a tourney going on and I just upgraded to 4.1.5 and knew I needed this but when I went to v3 to copy it again it was closed oh noes.

rootsxrocks 07-31-2011 10:34 PM

Tournament notices are not being sent, they say they have been sent but there is no PM .

Are the Default User Settings set to YES for Tournament Events?

Also have you (or your members) opted out of receiving arcade notifications?

Sunka 08-02-2011 12:15 PM

Tournament is not working
No notices send nor manual kick out player

Gemma 08-02-2011 12:23 PM

This should fix the manual disqualification - http://www.v3arcade.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3454 (post #10)

Sunka 08-02-2011 09:05 PM

That is working!
Thanks Gemma

rootsxrocks 08-03-2011 05:42 AM

I'm sorry we did get notices that we had failed to advance. I Have not looked at the symptoms in the fix above but I think I may have to do that anyhow.

my most urgent question is were do I edit what templates to put a chat box in the games and main arcade pages. without putting in the forums.
