vBShop does not support any form of Real Money Trading.

Gifting works by clicking the Gift button in the inventory next to the item you want to gift, typing in their username and an optional message, then hitting send :)

If i purchase the Pro Version, how does the Upgrade work?

Like.. if i used one month the Lite Version and i want to upgrade to the pro. Do i lost all my Datas and start again from 0?

No, Pro upgrades are seamless. The Lite version contains all the database tables, so the Pro version only includes extra templates/template code and plugins / files./

Please check Firefox' error console for any JS errors.

does the username markup appear everywhere? or like the Point Market and other store mods only shows up in the thread...also does the glow work on the names in the whats going on box? the other store mods dont have glow working in certain browsers how does this mod act as far as that?

You have an option to force the markup to appear everywhere "fetch markup username" is called. But that may have a negative impact on your performance depending on the size of your server and your forum.

We've had no reports of glow not working in any modern browser, but keep in mind we don't support ancient versions like IE6/IE7 :)

Are there any differences between your live and test forum? Skin differences (maybe one of your skins accidentally overwrote the master style) or something?

This may sound like me being dumb, but I have to ask, where do i set the number of points users accumulate for certain things like creating a new thread, making a post, starting a blog etc?

Edit, NVM i've now installed vBCredits II Deluxe too.

As best as I can see, nothing seems different, the templates was last modified by yourselves when installed, nothing seems odd..

In that case, please PM me with an AdminCP and FTP account and I'll look into it :)

Hi! I've just installed the mod, it seems to be activated in Admincp but when I link to http:/mysite/vbshop.php it redirects me to the forum root.

I forgot something...or anyone does have an idea?

If I buy the pro version can I remove the copyright links or will they automatically be removed?

And where do these copyright links appear.

The Pro version still shows a copyright footer - there's a separate Branding Free licence for the removal of branding from Pro and Lite.

The copyright footer is displayed on all vBShop pages :)

I would love to have something where members could trade in points or credits in for physical items. Is this possible with this mod, or is there something out there that might do this even if it were a paid mod it would be worth it to me to have the ability to offer a reward for some of my more active members.

Is there a best-practice for adding the ability for users to purchase points with cash via paypal or another gateway? I've looked but didn't see anything. Can you point me in the right direction so I can decide how to go about modifying this?

You need vBCredits II Deluxe Pro and link vBShop and vBCredits currencies (configuring vBShop to use vBC's currency) to achieve that :)

If you mean coding wise, then you can look at vB's payments_gateway.php :)

Why i can't disable points in postbit to be shown? For example for admins,mods etc..

I know that there is a option to completely disable it but i want to be disabled for staff only

To do that, you'd need to install our Postbit Tabs mod - you can use it without the actual tabs feature. You will gain the ability to control each postbit element's usergroup permissions.

If you mean make it so staff has no postbit info, but others do, then that cannot be done at all.

How would I add an item to the shop that gives a user a new userrank.

Using the most recent version of vBShop Lite available here in the thread, I have encountered as exploit which could be easily misused for next-to-malicious purposes...

Input fields for username styling allow anything to be input, and then sticks it directly into a <span style=""> tag. This allows for arbitrary code to be added in at the consumer's whim. I've applied a hotfix on my forum but would appreciate if an official update were made to fix this issue.

I'm unable to replicate it in my initial tests on my test board, it's sanitised fine for me :)
